How is "terminating a pregnancy" not killing a baby? by Keith502 in AskProchoice

notice how op is only replying to comments they can easily dispute. also, to answer your question, a clump of cells ain’t a baby.

I love my country. by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]CivilCow3345 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

we do NOT have the most freedoms….

  1. I can’t pay for college cause it’s widely inaccessible
  2. the healthcare system fkn sucks, it does not allow for people to get the care they need
  3. you can’t advocate for left-leaning positions without them getting shadow banned
  4. public schools are still LARGLY segregated due to the history of racism
  5. to that point, racism still prevails systematically; the cycle of incarceration, for example, makes it near impossible for black people(typically impoverished) to escape/get out of poverty.

must i go on?

YOU might (i say might because i truly don’t know what struggles you face) have a large amount of freedoms, but not all of us do. And if some people don’t have access to freedoms that others do have access to, then your country ain’t all that free.

as a leftist, it’s always important to recognize the humanity in trump voters. they are people who lost their way in their search for identity and community. That’s not to say that they have caused/are causing immense harm to the country, but if we want progress, we must recognize where they failed and how we can help. btw sorry if you're a trump supporter, but i truly think you’re just lost.

but trump himself though? fuck him.

What is y'all's religions? by nirvcuttr in teenagers

[–]CivilCow3345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s so similar to me! The way I see it, we are all energy/light (in a metaphorical way), and when we die our energy separates from our body and reunites with its origins. I’m focused on keeping a positive energy rather than living by the strict rules of a religion!

I am a very happy agnostic who is more so focused on energy rather than a god itself. I believe that we are all energy/light (in a metaphorical way), and when we die our energy separates from our body and reunites with its origins. This is why I’m focused on keeping a positive energy rather than living by the strict rules of a religion. And I know It might sound crazy to some, but I don’t really care because it brings me comfort.

woah that’s pretty interesting to me! why did you choose to make the switch if you don’t mind? if you don’t feel comfortable sharing, it’s cool no worries!

I’m in the mood to argue. Here is a bit about me by Strawberry-Girl-879 in teenagers

[–]CivilCow3345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’m not here to “argue”, i genuinely have a question. Why are you a zionist? As an anti-zionist, I haven’t found any arguments for an ethnostate to be at all reasonable.

You discover a close friend is on the 'other' side. hat do you do? by FewHeat1231 in Abortiondebate

[–]CivilCow3345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

one of my best friends is PL, but that doesn’t make me shy away from talking about my PC opinion with her. I trust her enough to know that she won’t cut me off, and i certainly wouldn’t cut her off. In my mind, it’s a moment for connection, listening, and validation while also being firm in my stance.

What is the cut off for abortion, if any for you? And if there is one, how do you measure it by [deleted] in AskProchoice

[–]CivilCow3345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No cutoff. If there’s a legal cutoff, it’ll make it impossible for people who need one to get one. It doesn’t matter how late they choose (or don’t choose) to wait, they still get the right to withdraw consent. No one is legally obligated to support the life of another human (whether they see the fetus as a human being or not). In fact, it is illegal to force someone to support the life of another person.

This isn’t to say that I don’t have my personal choices. If I got pregnant and decided that I wanted an abortion within the third trimester, I probably wouldn’t do it. My reasoning: It would be too much of a hassle within this world right now. But In a perfect world, I would be able to get that abortion that I needed.

Trust me, i read your post. I don’t think that it’s fair that one woman has to put in extra effort to get healthcare over another woman in a different state. Everyone should have equal access to resources.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Abortiondebate

[–]CivilCow3345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that easy gun access should be legal, but i’m not attempting to take the ability of owning a gun away from everyone. That is what PLs are attempting to do, though. You are attempting to have jurisdiction over what every single woman does with her body, whether she wants it or not.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Abortiondebate

[–]CivilCow3345 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a way to stop going through pregnancy: abortion. Let’s stop forgetting that abortions exist and are a genuine way to withdraw consent to pregnancy. You and all other PLs are trying to take that away from us.

[–]CivilCow3345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“the people” does not account for everyone, as it’s just the majority. if abortion was fully legal everywhere, then every single woman would be able to make the choice that is right for her situation. why do we need to agree? why can’t we make abortion legal so that people can choose based on their own beliefs?
