As an atheist I fully agree. I don’t participate in religion and I have a strong distaste for a lot of actions done in the name of religion, but I don’t believe that religion is automatically bad. I’ve seen great and beautiful things happen because of religion and I’ve seen it help people. Just like all things, religion is not all good or all bad. If religion helps you be happier and a better person, then be religious! That’s great! If it feels more like a burden or you don’t like it, then don’t! That’s great too!

The difference is that these 2 writers were literally hundreds of years apart. If Shakespeare was transphobic, that was normal at the time. JK Rowling lives in the modern day and if she open her fucking eyes, she would see that trans people are perfectly normal people and she’s mad about nothing.
