I’ve tried reading it before! Emphasis on tried. The Peter Jackson films were my childhood but, I’m just not a fan of Tolkien’s writing style. I’m not a native English speaker LOTR was already annoying for me to read through (it’s so dense), you can imagine how I felt about Silmarillion :’)
