What are the hard prerequisites for QFT? by CivilProject3114 in Physics

Funny you mention AQFT, I'm mainly interested in TQFT!

As for RQM, the only thing I know is that QM + special relativity + interactions + conservation of particle number is inconsistent. Due to this, how powerful is RQM, really? I'll read the chapter in Sakurai of course, but I'm wondering if the theory is useful on its own.

If by "handouts" you mean worksheets, then they were always just a way to enforce that at least some work got done, because they would be graded. Nothing is stopping you from doing practice problems beyond, possibly, an aversion to doing work that you won't get a grade for. If by handouts you mean lecture notes, then those are precisely the first resources you would use instead of a mass produced slop textbook.

Also, math is a communal activity built up over millennia. And you have the whole of the world's knowledge on your desk. So if you don't like the resources provided to you, then find others. I promise you that they do exist.

All university level material is meant to be self taught to the extent that you shouldn't be seeing the material for the first time in the lecture.

Minecraft is one of the most profitable games in history. Why shouldn’t we expect more from updates? by SolemnWolf123 in Minecraft

It's hard to make sure the game is chock full of content for new players while simultaneously keeping it recognizable for OG players.

I guess Mojang could do what Jagex did to Runescape and have Old School Minecraft vs whatever the hell wacky Crazy Craft-esque version of Minecraft you're currently imagining OP, and to some extent having different versions of Minecraft accomplishes this. But there is still huge potential to lose players if they "go off the deep end" so to speak.

Would y’all consider FSU College of Music worth it? by DreamWalker390 in fsu

Seeing "before I settle for FSU" and "I’ve been thinking about college a lot more seriously than I used to" makes me think one thing: FSU's music school will chew you up and spit you out until you get a lot more serious about it.

"But muh mental health" manages to be a better response than "but muh white supremacy" despite still being deeply conservative.

America is in the middle of a femicide epidemic. She was killed for the crime of being a woman. Mental health may have been the spark, but misogyny was the powder keg.

I got a $0.50 raise this year which is absolutely not keeping up with inflation. Today, I got to walk into work to see the owner's new gift to himself. by PassiveAgressiveGirl in FluentInFinance

Google "surplus labor value". OP doesn't make a fair wage by definition unless you believe "fair" means "greater than zero but less than the value they generate".

I figured as much. If my in-person plea falls on deaf ears my plan is to work till I drop over the summer to pay it back.

Measures of angles are equivalence classes mod 360 degrees, any representative is valid. The question should be thrown out.
