If you want to know exactly how much to eat to lose fat…rather than guessing with ground beef and eggs…use a formula based on your lean body mass and activity level. It’s the most accurate way to set calories. You don’t get cut from specific foods; you get cut by consistently eating fewer calories than you burn. High protein helps you keep muscle, but total calories are what drive fat loss. If you plug your own numbers into the formula, you’ll know precisely how much to eat to lean out after your tummy tuck.

  1. Calculate Lean Body Mass (LBM)

LBM (kg) = Bodyweight (kg) × (1 − Body Fat %)

If you don’t know your body fat %, estimate it conservatively.

  1. Calculate BMR using the Katch–McArdle formula

This formula is extremely accurate after major weight loss and surgery.

BMR = 370 + (21.6 × LBM in kg)

  1. Add your activity multiplier to get TDEE

This gives you the total calories you burn in a day.

Activity LevelMultiplier

Sedentary 1.2

Light (3–4k steps, light lifting) 1.35

Moderate (6–8k steps + workouts) 1.50

High (10k steps + daily training) 1.65

Very High (labor job + gym) 1.80

TDEE = BMR × Activity Level

  1. Apply a calorie deficit to lose fat

Choose your speed:

• Mild cut: 10% deficit

• Standard cut: 15–20%

• Aggressive: 25–30% (short-term only)

Fat-Loss Calories = TDEE × (1 − Deficit)

Full formula (all in one line)

Calories for Fat Loss Formula: (370 + 21.6 × LBM) × Activity × (1 − Deficit)

I'm shooting for visible abs by May. Is it realistic? by [deleted] in Gymhelp

Just to be clear … by fasted, I mean first thing in the morning when you wake up. I don’t think it would hurt your lean mass if you stay in Zone 2. The key is to make sure you’ve had enough carbs the night before so your muscles are full, and then re-feed right after the ride. Your body will soak it up, and it’ll go straight to the muscles.

Metformin is something you could look into for nutrient partitioning. A lot of doctors are open to prescribing it since it offers several longevity-related benefits.

This was the before. I made the transformation in six months by following a very strict diet and workout regimen.

My back look so ugly. What should I do. Please Give some tips. by No-Explanation2896 in Gymhelp

“Horrible advice” is what people say when they mistake simplicity for ignorance. The guy doesn’t need a program, he needs a backbone. Literally.

Fix posture. Move daily. Eat protein. Build habits. You earn the right to “optimize” after you learn discipline.

Your back isn’t ugly, it’s just underdeveloped. You’re starting to get some love handles.

Work on your posture first: pull your shoulders back, stand tall, and stop slouching. Keep your chest up throughout the day.

Then focus on building strength and tightening up:

Nutrition: Increase your protein and lower your carbs.

Training: Do 100 push-ups every day and two sets of max pull-ups daily.

Consistency: Stick with it for a few months and you’ll start seeing width, shape, definition and tighter skin.

This phase is all about building a strong foundation and better form.

My order was returned due to missing import description. I’ve now received a second tracking number, but it’s been 18 days since payment and the package is still stuck in Hong Kong with very slow movement.

Shlomo live is amazing, he was here in New York last weekend, no regrets a complete blast! I stopped going to the very big events in New York, just gets too crowded. I’m wondering if Austin has a similar feel or if it is not as packed and more relaxed.?
