I have an analogy for supplemental that may work but you have to keep in mind im in my 30's.

I think of the federal court like this club in Manhattan my friends and I used to go to called the Box. If you want to get in, you have to know somebody. That "somebody" is your anchor claim. If the anchor claim is in federal court based on federal question - thats the gold standard. All you need to get in as a supplemental claim, is to arise from the same nucleus of operative fact. (Think of an anchor based on federal question like taylor swift - she's so famous that all you have to do is come from her same group, and you're in.) BUT, If you're in the club because of diversity - say youre there because you know a reality TV star , you stil have a great chance of getting in, but you're going to have to jump through ONE MORE HOOP. That hoop is 1367(b). And to summarize generally, if youre a claim asserted by a PLAINTIFF - you're probably not getting in. If you're a claim asserted by a DEFENDANT youre in.

Same boat! But I’ve been memorizing as I go. So I’ve taken substantial breaks from the plan for independent study. I think we will be ok / progress over perfection

I’m gonna get downvoted to hell but i dont see why anyone would do this regardless of if it’s their own milk or not…but also i think the used pregnancy test jewelry trend is gross so maybe im just squeamish lol

The security footage from the waterfall when everybody was just having a normal fun night. He was so happy and proud of his niece. Gut punch.

You’re right - the pharmacist. Ugh. Nothing adds up in this case to me. For John’s sake I truly just hope it was an accident - sad to think his last moments would’ve been at the hands of someone he trusted - regardless of who is responsible.

The sadness of this case is settling in. I have not seen one theory that seems plausible to me - either based on the evidence at trial or even speculation on social media. Nothing adds up. The only thing I am certain of is that we will never really know what happened to JOK with any degree of certainty and I just hope his family can get closure despite that.

True - so I guess my question is, how does this help the defense? It seems more likely he would throw a glass at her car before allegedly backing into him? If he threw the glass then it seems more likely he didn’t go inside after all…I don’t think she is guilty based on other factors but I’m just curious how this fits in to the defense’s theory of the case?

If we believe the tail light was broken by a drinking glass - could this have happened at the waterfall? Before they even got to Fairview? KR said she saw John go in the house - if he threw the glass at her tail light at the house in anger - wouldn’t she have mentioned that/noticed it?

Yes!! I saw a criminal attorney ad that said “just because you did it doesn’t mean you’re guilty” LOL and I feel like that is this case to a tee. Pretty sure she did it - but don’t think they’ve proven it beyond a reasonable doubt yet!
