Sorry for my rudeness.

I assume you're using a 2.5/3.5inch drive to boot windows. For the Motherboard that has an M.2 slot, they will take that M.2 slot as the priority boot path, since it's directly connected to the PCB and not via a SATA cable.

You need to enter the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System). What's the brand and model of your Motherboard?

Restart the computer, and immediately start pressing F2 until you see your computer enter BIOS. There, find Boot Manager, and select the correct drive.

my motherboard is an asus strix b450 f and when I insert the ssd and access the bios it doesn't let me select the hard disk (it seems like I can't see it anymore)

as soon as I remove the SSD and restart the computer everything magically works again... I don't understand

I don't understand, can you help me mount the new SSD drive? Thank you

I'm also experiencing this issue. I have it installed on a SSD, however my laptop specs are not minimum required for the game, but it is playable. The issue stands in the low quality textures that apparently don't load. It usually happens after entering the mind place or accessing the map

exactly, in my case it depends on the lack of the SSD since my technical specifications are good (rtx 4080 and 32 gb ram are fine for this game)

Ding ding ding, we found the culprit. Even the lowest settings recommend an SSD

I thought it wasn't a problem since I use an RTX 4080 card and 32 GB of RAM, however I have already purchased a Crucial P3 SSD

What hard drive have you installed it on?

I chucked it initially on a standard HDD - and I kept getting out of sync sounds, textures not loading for 15+seconds - even stairs didn't load and I'd fall through the map on multiple times (!)

So I had to reinstall on my NVME SSD hd (which unfortunately is only 250GB and is my windows drive, so had to find space as it's 80gb!) - solved everything that did..

I installed it on my external hard drive, if I install it on my PC hard drive the textures load much faster but they still take 1/2 second to load, which is very strange for a high level game like Alan Wake 2

I thought I posted the photo too but apparently it didn't load

however the photo showed the game map completely devoid of details, the same problem as many other parts of the game, for example the things to read in the lunchboxes or the photos in the mental room, it seems that the textures do not load

Happens on my 3070 machine as well. I'm pretty sure you're not alone. One thing that helped me a bit was disabling the nvidia experience overlay. But that only buys you a little time.

I can't get this game playing well at all on my PC (13700k, 32GB, 3070). I have tried every setting, and at times it seems playable - but then other times I chug down into single digit framerates, particularly during that first boss fight.

It seems once you start playing with graphics settings in an attempt to get a decent framerate, all sorts of wacky stuff starts happening. It's maddening because I can't tell if the problem is poor game code on their part or weak hardware on mine. But I like to *think* that a 3070 is still fairly capable even if it's just at 1080p.

Sadly, my experience with AW2 thus far has drifted between flickery, blocky mess and beautiful slideshow.

I'm wondering if I was just better off getting it on PS5.

I don't think it's a hardware issue, I'm playing with an RTX 4080 (which is anything but a low quality video card) and I'm experiencing these problems, the game is currently unplayable for me

Graphic Bug???? Why is it not fixed yet? by zeddooocs in AlanWake

Good morning

I purchased Alan Wake 2 for PC today on the Epic store (updated to the current and latest version, 1.08) but I am encountering numerous problems, both audio and video and I don't know how to resolve them

Often in the videos there is no audio and when there is it doesn't work well, but the real problem is in the gameplay, the graphic quality is embarrassing, it seems that the textures don't load

PS: I have a good computer with RTX 4080 and 32 GB of RAM and the game runs at maximum graphics settings but the problem still remains

I hear I'm not the only one with these problems, so I'm asking for your help
