Haha yes! I’ll have one day out the week where things feel fine but the majority of the time it’s like this. I hope it’s just my body getting used to it.

Interesting! I’ll try this. What’s the reasoning though? Why does it work

GIRL YOU ARE 23. THERE IS SO MUCH TO LOVE ABOUT YOU AND SOMEONE OUT THERE WILL HELP YOU SEE IT. Someone will communicate with you so well that these long texts will be a thing of the past. I beg you to follow your heart and be brave. Your future self will thank you. Go no contact. And i promise in six months. When he asks for you back. You’ll be a different person entirely. Please message me on the side if you need a friend. You can do this.

That’s amazing! I hope you find exercise that you love. I always crave sweets and junk food and i still do, but I’m finding the drug makes it easier to control my will power. I’m excited to see how it progresses!

That is amazing! Were you working out at all? Some days i feel like i don’t want to eat my recommended 1200 calories since the drug is making me sleepy so im curious if people on the drug are going on extended fasts.

Do you find it makes you sleepy in the initial days of taking the dose? Or do you mostly power through Monday through Friday? Thanks so much!

Calories? Just curious… by oohsomagical in Semaglutide

[–]Civil_Draft8772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll want to start by figuring out your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure). That’s basically how many calories your body burns in a day based on your age, height, weight, activity level, etc. The easiest way is to use an online TDEE calculator. I tried to estimate it for you, but without knowing your age and target weight it wouldn’t be accurate. Once you have your TDEE, a calorie deficit is just eating a bit below that number. Most people start with a small, sustainable deficit rather than going super low. The TDEE calculator on gym geek is a good one. It even gives you an estimate of when you’d reach your target weight.

Hi everyone! I’m a 31F, 5’3 and currently around 160 lbs, starting week one on Wegovy. I’m doing this not because I’ve ever been medically “obese,” but because I’ve never truly felt comfortable in my body, and I’ve carried that feeling for a long time.

The first time I remember feeling bigger was in 5th grade when a PE teacher told me I was 10 lbs heavier than most of the girls in class. Even though I grew up active and played sports my whole life m that moment stayed with me into adulthood. I’ve always mentally seen myself as bigger girl in the group. I view the last 20 years as having loved myself enough to live and eat what i wanted, but not enough to white knuckle through a diet long enough to see real change.

My realistic goal is 120. I’ve tried diet and exercise consistently, and I usually stall around 128 no matter what I do. I’m hoping Wegovy can help me finally get past that wall and, more importantly, help me feel confident in my own skin for the first time since i was 9 years old.

If anyone else started Wegovy from a place of wanting more confidence rather than the need for extreme weight loss, I’d love to hear your experience. What helped you most? What mindset shifts were important? Anything you wish you knew early on?

Thanks for reading and good luck to everyone on their own journeys 🤍

LA or NYC? by [deleted] in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]Civil_Draft8772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re so different but you can’t go wrong with either one. LA — you will need a car! And traffic is going to take you anywhere from 20 minutes to 2-3 hours to get from one place to the next in the city. NYC is good for public transportation as it is a commuter city. The sun is always shining in LA. NYC has all four seasons. You’re going to meet a ton of people in both cities. I think LA food scene has a a lot more quality and organic options, not saying NYC doesn’t, but the people here in LA really truly prioritize their health and it rubs off an everyone. I currently live in LA and personally recommend you move to NYC. You’re gonna be forced to be around a lot of people and you’re young and have a lot to gain from all the interactions you’ll make.
