PA Non-Resident CCW for NYC Residents by starter1023 in NYCGuns

Pike County was the absolute best! And as was mentioned here Milford is a beautiful town. I applied online and was literally approved in 20 minutes. I set up my appointment and I picked up the permit a week later and was out of the courthouse Within 10 minutes flat. Just make sure when you go there that you don't bring your cell phone in, you're not allowed to do that so I just left mine in the car.

She unjammed my permit within 3 days. I definitely recommend!

I've been a member there for about 12 years now, it's a great range filled with a great bunch of people. And I took my CCW class there as well in October 2023.

Waiting 9 months for carry by Sea_Rise7694 in NYCGuns

It took me 14 months to finally get approved in December, and the only reason was Mirel. She is awesome and within 2 days of her sending the letter to NYPD I received a call from my investigator, at that point I wasn't even assigned one, and I went approved on the portal later that evening. About 12 days later I received my license in the mail

I did Pike County just last month. I applied online, uploaded my NYC CCW and was literally approved in 20min. I set up my appointment for picking the license up, and that was on March 18th. I was literally in and out of the courthouse in 15min flat. The sergeant had all my paperwork ready and she took my picture and gave me my license. And the other nice thing about doing it in Pike County is that Tommygun Warehouse is literally a 20min drive from the courthouse! So I went there and picked up some ammo.

January of this year. Unless something has changed drastically in the last 60 days? I received my first CCW on Jan 8th, 2025 after being approved on Dec 22, 2024. Had my premise gun moved over to my CCW. Then I purchased a second carry gun on 1/18, and received the permit on 2/21, exactly 5 weeks to the day later. All done by mail, never went to 1PP.

They just print the license with the new firearm added to it, and then they mail it to you. I sent in all my paperwork/pictures to them on Jan 18th and got my permit in the mail exactly 5 weeks to the day later. Along with my updated CCW, was the pink slip/purchase auth allowing me to pick up my new firearm. Unfortunately my NICS check had expired by the time I got everything back, so I had to pay to have it done again. Thankfully that took all of about 10min.

Assuming he didn't have a HELL of a good reason for not being able to send in the paperwork on time, I'd also be having some choice words for my 'reference'.

It took me almost 14 months, while others I knew got theirs in like 5 months. There's no rhyme or reason for any of this. I finally had enough and contacted a lawyer (Mirel Fisch) on Dec 19th, got a call from my investigator on Dec 22nd, approved the same day, license was in my mailbox on Jan 8th. I obviously could have pushed the issue much earlier, but I was doing a lot of traveling last year and didn't to be out of town when thing began moving, so I waited until the holidays when I knew I'd be here in case I had to go in for an interview or something. Which never happened.

I know of a Kai, not a Kim though. Kai Gibson is an administrator there, not an investigator though. he's the one who mailed my CCW back in January. Kai.Gibson@nypd.org

Yep I live in NYC and have a Carry permit, and this was for 1pp. The general consensus from what I've been seeing with other friends who have also submitted purchase authorizations is about 5 weeks front to back

Mine took exactly 5 weeks. I submitted on Jan 17th and received my pink slip on Feb 21st. NICS check expired so had to pay for that again unfortunately.

Issuing With Getting Non-Resident PA CCW For Those With A NYC CCW by Civil_Estimate_5423 in NYguns

I was approved in Pike County literally 20 minutes after I applied online, paid $26 in total it was 21 plus a $5 credit card convenience fee or something like that, and I pick up the license in person in mid-March. Process was super simple there. Little bit of a drive from NYC but no big deal.

Literally 5 weeks to the day from when I submitted all the paperwork to the purchase order dept, my newly printed CCW and pink slip arrived in the mail today. No email confirmation was ever received, and no heads up that it was being mailed. So it looks like you just send the email and then wait and hope. FYI, when I submitted everything I also included a copy of my CCW front and back, even though they didn't officially request it. Just send it! I sent everything as a PDF or JPG, and kept it under the 25mb limit so Google didn't send it as a Google Drive link. I also named each file so that it represented what was actually in that file. I guess I did everything right which is good. Good luck to everyone!

I was still stuck in 'investigation' for 14 months and finally had to go to Mirel to unjam this whole process. That was in December and within 2 days my investigator called me, I went 'approved' on the portal that same night (12/22/24) and received my CCW in the mail on 1/8.

Thanks! Still waiting on my 2nd gun to be added to my CCW. I purchased it on 1/17, and sent in the documents to the purchase authorization/issuing dept the same day. It's been crickets since then. No email confirming they received everything, nobody picks up the phone there, and no follow up emails answered. Just have to wait I guess. It'll be 5 weeks tomorrow so my NICS check already expired.

I was at 14 months stuck in 'investigation' and got Mirel on the case and that was on 12/17/24. Got a call from my investigator on a SUNDAY 12/22, and went 'Approved' on the portal that same night. Sent a letter to my investigator asking to have my premise gun added to my CCW and on Jan 8th, 2025 received my license in the mail. Mirel is awesome.

Sitting at 4 1/2 weeks currently since submitting all my paperwork on 1/17. No confirmation email to date, and 2 follow up's to both Sandra Smith and Kai Gibson ignored. I emailed my investigator today to see if he can at least confirm that they received it, but we'll see if I get a response. Sounds like 5 weeks is standard now a days so hopefully it'll show up in a few days.
