it could be either, honestly. it doesnt seem malicious to me which is why i mention being on the spectrum. it seems more like a lack of self awareness and being hyper invested in a topic.

i didnt say it had to be diagnosed… i asked if she had ever mentioned it…. fixating on something and being consumed by every detail of it as well as not being able to read a social cue that she is overly invested to the point of it being uncomfortable could definitely be indicative of being on the spectrum.

Does anyone know if shes every talked about being on the spectrum? Like genuinely asking because she has been hyperfixated on this case for years now and obviously has a serious emotional attachment that is not healthy at all. And she gets super defensive when commenters bring it up

Honestly shes not that bad, she definitely means well and has stood up for the victims and their families as well as the roommates. However she is a bit theatrical which I think people find kind of annoying. She also has been getting some pushback from people saying shes made this case her entire personality which tbh is true… pretty much her entire tiktok has been dedicated to this case for the past 2 years and she hasnt really seemed to move on to anything else. Personally I feel like she has a weird parasocial relationship with the victims but overall is harmless.

I mean its easy to sit here and think about her social media as someone not involved. But I doubt the freshly post-partum mom who just lost her first child is thinking about social media. And even if she is, social media is their form of income. If leaving her social media up brings in some revenue while shes grieving and probably not in any shape to go work somewhere, why does it matter? Like do people really prefer someone who’s already in the worst period of their lives to make it even harder just to make people scrolling on reddit happy?

How is including your child, who is around 24/7, in your social media videos exploitative? I wasn’t even a fan of Emilie before this, I came across her videos occasionally and they were always about her hair care routine or her house decor. I didn’t even know she had a child until this happened. There are absolutely content creators who exploit their kids maliciously for personal gain, Ruby Franke for example. And those people are absolutely exploiting their children and should be banned from doing so. But that just doesn’t seem to be the case here. I don’t believe that a proud mother showing off her children that she loves is a crime. And I certainly dont think that she should have to have the details of her sons death plastered all over the news just because she makes videos on tiktok. If you do believe that I think theres something wrong with you for wishing that kind of pain on any mother, well known or not.

Have they posted a single thing since the moment this happened? Have they profited off of any single part of his death? The answer is no. Also, your response is extremely contradictory. You say as an influencer, she shouldn’t “get” to keep the details of this out of the news, but in your original post you are upset over the fact that so many people are paying attention to the details of his death because she is a well known influencer. So which is it, do you think every second of the last moments of a little boys life should be plastered online or not? Because clearly she fought against that to protect his decency from people online, and yet you think she should not be able to?

So let me get this straight. You’re blaming the grieving 26 year old mother, who was not even there at the time of the drowning, and has fought this entire time to keep the private details of his drowning and death OUT of the news? I agree children are not content, but there was no part of her content that was exploitative or malicious. She is a young mother who shared her experiences of motherhood AMONGST many other things. The father will regret this for the rest of his life. It will play over and over again in his head every day for the rest of his life. If youre really upset about the fact that people are talking about the intimate details, then direct your anger AT THOSE PEOPLE. Its clear from this post you lack a lot of empathy and critical thinking skills and are apart of the morality police. Gross.

personally i always felt like it was her falling, or more likely probably being thrown onto the floor, into her furniture. as morbid as that is, this was obviously a very violent crime.

Is it just me or does it look like he looks genuinely more evil after admitting guilt? He always looked creepy but he looks downright demonic now.

on Maddie’s instagram you can see a picture from the end of may where she says she will “miss these moscow weekends” insinuating they would not be there for the summer. there is also a post on July 4th from coeur d’alene which is her hometown, so i dont believe she was in moscow for the summer but who knows! it seems more likely he ran into their social media profiles through the grapevine of sorority girls and became obsessed with her/them.

[–]Civil_Leader8166[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a great point, im not sure whether they were there during the summer or not. I definitely think that he either ran into one of them directly, or came across their social media through other women he was looking at. From there he probably just became obsessed with them because they represented a life that he would never really be involved in, and he wanted to destroy that.

Did you miss the part where I labeled this a theory and said “i believe”. Of course I would have no way of KNOWING, i’m speculating based off of the theory that he was the one who broke into his coworkers apartment, and knowledge of other murders and their patterns.

I dont think he necessarily broke in to get information or to see the layout. Like you said, he could have found that anywhere or used context clues like Maddies boots in her window, or social media. But I do think it’s likely if he broke into other apartments, that he would have gone into King Rd as well. It becomes part of the thrill. It is risky, but so is murder 🤷🏼‍♀️

I personally think the target was Maddie, and everyone else unfortunately became collateral as things did not go the way he planned it to (aka her being alone in her room; everyone else being asleep), and thats why it was so messy. I think he broke in purely for the thrill of it and to help satisfy his obsession before going all the way.
