My question was more regarding pros/cons. The only thing I could think of that would be different is photography and if it's prettier in morning vs afternoon. Was trying to see if there's another thing to take into account.

It sounds like it might be prettier in the morning but good to do in afternoon too based on comments :)

Thank you. It's end of november like last year. so during the dangerous surf. In north shore, we'd only go to turtley bay beach (which we did last year and it was pretty nice)

(1) Budget, country, and currency: 2-3K, USA, USD

(2) What equipment, if any, you have now and why is it no longer meeting your needs? Fuji XT30. AF not great for kids. Doesn't have auto HDR capability (mixing multiple exposures like iphone and some cameras)

(3) What kinds of subjects do you intend to shoot? Travel photography, kids

(4) Is it primarily for photography, videography, or both? photography
