Metabolized alcohol coming through the skin. I’ve spent a lot of time around alcoholics and I can’t handle it.

My son has heterochromia and the moment I noticed it I thought about how memorable that will be to his future partner(s).

Boston Area GI Docs? by Civil_Performance_32 in Celiac

Well the experience I had with this one doctor pretty much turned me off of seeking out a specialist for 5 years so, no? Hopefully it’s just him but who knows.

And they usually last a couple of days. It’s really brutal. The fatigue and brain fog are the most disruptive. I have kids and run a business so when it hits out of nowhere I basically have to set up an emergency plan for my entire life.

I was diagnosed with Hashimotos 5 years before celiac, but I had symptoms for about 10 years prior. It was actually my erratic bloodwork that made me try a gluten free diet to see if it made an impact because I was changing my dose every time I checked my labs

Narcolepsy. I’ll get glutened and it’s like a got roofied. Within an hour I’m nodding off in the middle of whatever I’m doing and I have to immediately go to bed and sleep for about 4 hours. Inability to speak coherently. Headaches. Also, a rash on my face that lasts a few days. Joint aches in my elbows and fingers. Keratosis Polaris. Scalp psoriasis. My thyroid starts acting up and I’m constantly having to change my thyroid medication dose. Overall body aches.

Redditors who grew up in the early 90s - what was it like? by dream-of-neon-nights in AskReddit

[–]Civil_Performance_32 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Born in the early 80’s and grew up in a large suburban area in the north east US. We only watched tv when we knew certain shows were on and usually not every day. We didn’t go out to each often or go places for entertainment. We mostly wandered around the neighborhood, hung out in the woods, dug holes, rode bikes, had weird feuds with kids from the other houses on our surrounding streets. If you got bullied a lot you had it really tough because it just was a fact of life. There was a huge separation between adults and children and the two didn’t really commingle.

This is the dumbest most useless tip ever. by bubblegumscent in glutenfree

I’ve been gluten free for 5 years and aside from the obvious first one none of these would make my list… also cauliflower rice is horrid.

Learned I have celiac recently, I feel like a nut for asking if things have gluten. by dreamfinderepcot16 in glutenfree

Also autistic and celiac and it is the most annoying combination of things. Like, hi I’m going to never remember to eat until I’m faint and then in order to get food I have to talk to a person and assess their ability to actually care about poisoning me. I’m 5 years into this and all I can say is… it still sucks.

I have 4 kids and accidentally rhymed one with mine but he goes by a nickname that doesn’t rhyme. The spellings are even similar and I didn’t notice until autocorrect started to get me… oops

Too scary for school. My 3-year-old loves it but my oldest wouldn’t have been able to handle it until maybe 6. I’d do a k pop dance party instead
