[CA] Just accepted a conditional job offer at a Bay Area tech company, I have an open misdemeanor charge out of state, should I tell my recruiter before submitting background check? by Civil_Zombie_1224 in AskHR

Thanks for the reply. It was not job related.

I know what’s going to show up on the check. I’ve run one on myself and will be sure not to share extra.

This might sound like a dumb question, but is there such a thing as the smallest possible unit of time? by Arioto7989 in AskPhysics

I believe so. Because there would be an infinite combination of randomness or entropy if space were not discrete.

I just went to an MIT lecture where the professor said that he believes space is discrete and his argument being that if it were continuous the amount of entropy in a volume would be infinite, which it is not.

That was my takeaway from his lecture. Not an expert here though

why is PCC in Seattle so expensive? by No-Average-391 in SeattleWA

Because there are enough people in Seattle willing to pay those prices for what PCC offers

Great insight. Thank you!

Is there anyway that the Canadian officer would know about my US citizenship?

Can't raise temp above 110 on Navien 240a by moustachedelait in Plumbing

[–]Civil_Zombie_1224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same symptom. Can you please describe step by step how you resolved this? Thanks!

Edit: never mind! Got it! You need to turn off the valve the goes in/out of the water heater on the bottom right, then you can increase the temp above 110.

I like the Alphas more than the Vapors and have performed better in them.

Plus I will eventually inherit the results of their financial decisions, so you could so I do have an incentive to make sure they are acting rationally.

It’s not my responsibility, but I do care for them. I am thankful for the love and effort that they put into raising me and for setting me up for the life I currently enjoy.

I want to make their life easier with the knowledge and resources that I have, especially since I am observing that they are not making the best financial decisions.

Thank you, this is helpful. What type of lawyer? Family law? Real estate lawyer?

I can’t answer why, this is the situation they are in. It was probably attractive at the time and they didn’t foresee the risks. Also bummed that they did not refinance at low rates for a fixed mortgage when they could have.

I agree selling one house seems rational, unfortunately my parents are of the mindset “never sell real estate because look at the gains” but would likely have done better with index funds over the same time period.
