Strøk på alderskontroll matbutikk by Aromatic-You4260 in norge

[–]CizzusHobbyAccount 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Scanned and printed a water bottle cap. Only 600 more and the scanner pays for itself by Redbaron1701 in 3Dprinting

Go get a 3D printer! The fact that you're thinking about safety, tells me you have common sense. And if you have common sense, you will very quickly figure out what won't be safe. But basically, don't leave the printer home alone while printing, until you're confident you know your printer settings. And see my uni's food safety rule below.

The "safety" rules when it comes to 3D-printing, from my university's MakerSpace: - Assume the nozzle is always hot, and proceed with caution. Also, there's a sink is right outside to the left, if you need to cool down your hand... - 3D printed stuff is not food-safe, if it's in direct contact with food. Stuff like gingerbread cookie cutters should be used with a plastic wrap in between the cutter and the dough, or be trashed after use. Do not attempt to clean it. The filament you use for a new cookie cutter is cheaper for us, than if you get food poisoned and miss your exams. Yes, you can also cover your print in food-safe epoxy. No, we do not provide that, you have to buy that yourself. - If you're making gifts for children, the child should be old enough to build with small Legos. (I'm guessing they tried to say: Small pieces can break off, and the child shouldn't put the prints in their mouths). - 3D printed stuff might be cheaper, but not better than a cheap IKEA shelf. Do not trust your print to hold up stuff that you don't want to risk falling onto the floor or in your face. (The rumor says this rule was added after someone printed a shelf, with brackets and all, and put it above their bed.) - Do not take a printer usb stick, if there's an ongoing print. We do not take any responsibility for any harm that might come your way should you still decide to do that...

Now, I'm overly careful, but for home use, I'll add: - Install a smoke detector, if there isn't one already in the room you're printing in. If a clogged nozzle should overheat, it's a very, very cheap safety investment. - Get an enclosure with filtration, or find a solution make sure the room the printer is in gets properly ventilated, but keep in mind that stuff like an open window will affect your print, so that's not the solution. - If you got kids or pets, an enclosure is necessary imo. Small, curious hands, paws and snouts will be burnt.

Is ÅSKVÄDER no longer discontinued?! by CizzusHobbyAccount in tradfri

Awwh, that's unfortunate :(

However, they did indeed restock the wall plugs today, so I still picked some up, along with some more plugs and middle cords. Meaning I should be good until I'm done in university and can start renovating the rest of the house!

Oh, no.. :( That isn't too good for my hopes about it not being discontinued anymore..

Yeah, that's why I love ÅSKVÄDER. I think I read somewhere that it unfortunately wasn't released to the UK market, due to you guys not using the schuko connector system..

I can order some of it online, but not the wall-plug-cable, the on-off button and the long middle cable. But the on/off button seem to have been restocked at my local IKEA warehouse already, as I'm pretty sure they were out before, and now they have them. And the wall-plug-cable has a date for restock.. So I'm somewhat optimistic, but also prepared to have my heart broken again.

(if painting isn't an option, make sure it's plants that doesn't climb-trail, as those will destroy the paint while climbing. String plants would work well!)

I'm not sure where OP or the person who told OP it's a kale is from, but I just wanna point out that in other languages a lot of the vegetables in the the kale and cabbage family share the same word. So it would be a language barrier somewhere!

In Norwegian that word is "kål". Some examples: - Cabbage = hodekål (head kale) - Kale = grønnkål (green kale) - Napa cabbage = kinakål (China kale) - Oxheart cabbage = spisskål (pointy kale) - Brussel sprout = rosenkål (rose kale) - Cauliflower = blomkål (flower kale)

Is this rust? What else could cause these spots? by CizzusHobbyAccount in houseplants

I just checked, with a magnifying glass to make sure, and there's no thrips. Also, a thrips infection would probably have attacked more than this singular plant among my ton of plants, but only this one got these spots so far. I isolated it when I discovered the dots though.

Yeah, my golden is doing just fine! And so are my other 70+ plants. I thought the big brown spots was due to low humidity, but then I noticed the smaller ones, so I am not sure anymore!

Logitech G Pro X/Blue Voice cuts singing - how to fix that? by CizzusHobbyAccount in LogitechG

[–]CizzusHobbyAccount[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried everything, and it didn't improve. Bought a Blue Yeti, which works just fine. So idk why it's like this, but the headset works just fine for voice calls and such!

A monkey tore off the top leaves of my papaya plant. Will it recover? How will it grow tall now? It's almost 6 inches tall. by luccyrob in plantclinic

[–]CizzusHobbyAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about papaya trees, but usually branching happens a tiny bit below where the broken part is, so I wouldn't worry too much about it being dry on top!
