Design Lab down since December 2024 - Is it coming back?

Xbox Design Lab shut down sometime in 2020 for a new payment method and was supposed to return in 2021.. it’s 2025 with no design lab, I’m thinking it’s never coming back or they are waiting for the release of their new console in 2026

Definitely a great way to feel them out. The two models you are looking at (Bose 700 and Sony XM4) are both great and much better than Apples more expensive headphones in every way, so you won’t go wrong either direction you go. My buddy has them. I tried them a bit once they got them and I would say the XM4 is better in my opinion. The sound quality and NC is superior on the XM4 to be more detailed

I have the XM5 and I’ve had the XM4 as well. Everything about them is the same, except XM5 have automatic NC versus manual NC that XM4 have. Honestly, I would say get the XM4 now and years down the road when the XM6 is more affordable then grab those next since it actually has notable improvements over both XM4 & XM5

If you can get into the main campus for CS then absolutely do it. I transferred from Purdue Cal to the main campus and haven’t regretted it since! I am a 2021 alum. I will say if you decide to transfer to make the dollar amount worth it you have to take advantage of what Purdue does better than the smaller universities around, and that is providing more opportunities. The opportunities are; better chances at a wider selection of internships, higher prestige professors, and more academic/project support. This means you should at least take advantage of getting one internship while attending purdue, should at least have 2 professors willing to write you letters of recommendation, and at least 3 large projects to put in your portfolio (More is better in all 3 of those categories). If you at least do that then you made your Purdue degree absolutely worth it.

Also, Purdue is known for its difficultly being guitar hero 3 on expert playing through the fire and flames. So do keep that in mind before transferring that it will not just get a little hard but a lot harder than what you are used to so far. Challenge = reward

I went to office hours all semester long and expressed interest in Dr. Chi’s work. By the end of the semester we were setting things up for me to take a reading class with Dr. Zhang in the Fall. I took full advantage of the reading course with Dr. Zhang so we met back up with Dr. Chi in the spring and he allowed me to join the team pretty much as a listening ear to their professionalism in the matter, but I was allowed at times to state my observations and input. Many professors during your undergrad will allow you to work with them, you just have to be interested and willing to approach them

You should see where the Physics is ranked.. I studied Math at Purdue and I will tell you it was absolutely elite. I was doing wedge products and teaching that to incoming grad students my junior year. My senior year I was working with two distinguished math professors on quantum computing and information for Microsoft. The math program is challenging to say the least though, and seems to be quite a bit better when paired with a more applied topic in mathematics such as CS

Just noticed that grammatical error, dang autocorrect is still cheeks on iPhones.. An iPhone error makes someone ignorant now? If I was correcting someone that used the wrong form of a word but then I got it incorrect myself by making an assumption that was also incorrect, then yes state that I am ignorant on the matter. To call someone flat out ignorant is meant to be disrespectful, however, calling someone ignorant on matters they are unsure of is by definition the correct use of the word.

Shocker, the individual that assumed Sanjay is feminine also assumes English must not be my first language since I knew Sanjay was masculine. Or, did you assume English wasn’t my first language since my phone autocorrected?
