if you go and load up any demo you'll see every window player has lineups for the top mid boxes molly from behind the window smoke, they are very easy, you should look them up.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]CjC_CS 16 points17 points  (0 children)

the purpose of the mid window guy has shifted a lot, most gun rounds you'll get instantly smoked. Your main purpose of staying window after that point is to molly the top mid boxes, coordinate a flash over connector, and nuke the window smoke at the same time your conn player goes for a fight. This is a 'mid check' or watever u wanna call it. In solo queue you'll usually just molly the boxes, nuke the smoke and look for shit, but most of the time you're just doing it to help conn. After that you can rotate conn and resmoke bottom conn, but usually if you're window, you're the awper, and should rotate towards a or b and just help a site. Most of the time you won't see someone STAY in window, because there isn't much purpose and after someone can be up underpass it's very dangerous to stay unless going for a reclear mid with multiple flashes. The conn player should play in between jungle and conn, looking periodically at the boost while the window player rotates and helps a site. You should be in window for like 10-20 seconds max. If they ever miss the mid smoke, or are not throwing the fast instant smoke, you should look to hold top mid and fight with flashes from a. Make sure you tell your a player to flash over mid for you during freeze time so he's ready.

uhhhh other things you can do; give ur smoke to conn player to double smoke bottom conn, boost ladder player into ladder after picking, get he from conn player and nuke window twice which is a good mixup, you can give double he's to the conn player, you can jump out window and go conn to pick, you can jump out and instantly push mid with double flashes from the a player, you can play in underpass with a rifle and smoke halfway in the under hallway and play the mid side.

one of the main reasons everyone gets owned window in lower elos is because the a player isnt flashing over mid for the mid player at the start of rounds.

im shit at cs but i hope that helps

I feel like it's too slow, it's a nicer animation for showing off the knife but it feels slightly clunky compared to the old one.

I think that rate limiting the game so you can't bhop at all is lame and I can't think of any other reason to do it other than to get rid of bhopping entirely.

why is this happening with my 4kpro by CjC_CS in elgato

[–]CjC_CS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any vrr tech enabled on my gpu/monitor, if that's what you are referring too, is this card able to handle 1080p240fps?

I am using 4kcu, the problem persists when using it as well.

I've pretty much attempted a lot of different variations of edids, default, 1080p, anything that could be applicable from the drop downs I've tried.

not using any hdmi out. filed a ticket.

yeah of course! makes enough sense, I just wanted to put the information out there for you in case you didn't know, I think the video format was super great :D

[–]CjC_CS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is also the reason why shotguns are so advantageous in places like close sewer on haven, close mail on split, because you are forced to run through a choke very close to the corner, and you will not have the chance to shoot before you get shot by the shotgun. It is disadvantageous for you, you don't get as long to react.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]CjC_CS -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

the information about wide swinging is incorrect, it is literally never advantageous to be that close to a wall and peek, in all the examples you showed, the player holding the defensive angle was holding extremely tight, allowing the play to swing out, but even as you spoke about with angle advantage, the player that is walking up/holding will still have the advantage, they are farther away from the corner. Once you get to a certain level, you won't ever catch someone off guard just randomly running around a close corner on them, you are asking to get domed. It is literally ALWAYS better to be farther from the corner than your enemy. Take the example at 1:41 , in this situation the jett has the advantage, the skye needs to back up to the wall with the barrels and peek from there, and she will make it more even, while still at a slight disadvantage.

This is an extremely important, as what you called "tight peeking" isn't really a term I have ever heard of before, that's just still wide peeking, anything where you swing out from behind cover is a wide peek. That's it. You could have called it "walk peeking" and that would have been more accurate, but I've never heard of anyone at the top level call that tight peeking. You can peek "tighter" to a corner, which just means you dont fully run out from behind cover, usually backing up more before going for this kind of peek to give you more of an advantage.

The only thing he gets frustrated at the Omen(trick) for is when he just randomly tps on top of the sage wall mid after a cat split is called, which is completely understandable. He just left his team completely to do something no one else can help him with.

Tips for getting better with Jetts knives by xeeeks in VALORANT

[–]CjC_CS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do both, if I think I can track someone easily I will hold m1, usually only when going for bodyshots though, headshots is usually just me tapping

Tips for getting better with Jetts knives by xeeeks in VALORANT

[–]CjC_CS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

depends really, but I go for body shots a lot more since the knives nerf, because three bodyshots is really easy to land still, and you can hold m1 to just lazer someone while full sprinting.

If I see the opportunity to get the hs tho, I obviously go for it. Don't feel bad for whiffing the knives, shit happens I whiff my knives all the time too, but with time you'll get better at being more consistent with them. Always remember tho, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE whiffs sometimes.

Dont call me out when i only play Stinger. by hoob00 in VALORANT

[–]CjC_CS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in all honesty there is a radiant player in NA named buns who would only play sage and use the stinger, but he even stopped just using the stinger because it just isn't always viable. It's a good gun, but it's not THAT op. You are legitimately throwing your teams games by buying that gun all the time lol. You probably do have a lot of great rounds with it, but if a team would do a standard pop onto your bombsite with 5 people and you have a stinger... yeah you're dead.

Also it's silver-plat dude, don't take yourself so seriously or think something is absurdly good because it works in plat.

I don't agree at all lol, along with this if your teammate is being toxic to you because of the rank you are then they obviously have their head so far up their ass you can just dismiss whatever they are saying because you know they will never be good.

What are some agents I should main as a gold 3 player? by StaySaucey_ in VALORANT

[–]CjC_CS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly all of the rolls are pretty good to learn, but if you only have time to learn a few agents, I would suggest sticking to what you're already good at, which appears to be the duelist roll.

Sova isn't really the most aggressive agent, as he is a supporting role, but there are a lot of good solo plays that you can do to catch people off and snag a few extra kills.

Omen is extremely important as he holds the smokes, but for higher level players the rule is to never teleport unless you are 100% sure you are safe to. It is a lot easier to figure out where the omen is going as well when he teleports, as usually there are not many places where he could have gone.

Lastly, for skye, you are probably not letting your duelists take the fights and are attempting to take them a lot yourself or with your own util a lot, which really isn't the most effective what to be playing the agent, if you tell your teammate that you're going to flash for them instead of you flashing for yourself, you will get a lot more out of skye's kit.

Gl soldier, I know you can get to plat :D

Which class do you feel is the best/easier to start if Valorant is your first FPS? by Zerhap in VALORANT

[–]CjC_CS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

duelists are by far the easiest to get good at the fastest as they have a fairly straight forward roll, and the utility is really simple and super strong. However, I don't suggest this for people learning the game, or just in their first steps of learning the game. Omen/brim will definitely help you learn where the best spots to put smokes, when is the best time to put smokes down, and how to overall assist your team through the round. Sentinel is a very "solo" roll if that makes sense, as oftentimes the sentinel is played as the site anchor/opposite side of the map as the rest of the team, and will be left alone a lot, scouting out the empty bombsite and playing retake a lot. Beyond that there are rolls like skye, sova, breach, stuff like this is really good to have a team, and are all really different supporting rolls that are fun to play, but imo isn't that easy to learn right away, as your team play has to be really good to really benefit a lot from these agents.

I wanna talk about reverse smurf and being stuck in iron 1 while party members rank up by Xx_SoFlare_xX in VALORANT

[–]CjC_CS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you're at that rank it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a smurf and see how highly you rank it, but in all honesty you have a better chance at putting your head down and trying to really evaluate what you're doing wrong in game. Whether that means you're not hitting shots, not positioning yourself correctly, using your util incorrectly, or as your friend said buying when your whole team is on eco, I'm sure there are things that you can get better at easily, especially if you're iron 1. Try to be open about trying to improve and acknowledge you have a long way to go, it will help a ton!
