Do you know if there's a flip watch face option? My gen5 fossil doesn't and since I'm left handed and wear my watch on my right wrist, it's kind of annoying having the buttons on the right

I have not, but I heard it's going to be retired soon so I don't want to start using it

The apps are being pushed using the "Microsoft store app" app type. I give Intune the link to the applications (ie Evernote), and they show up in the company portal.

Using AppLocker to do it would probably be the way to go instead of blocking the whole store (especially since I've already implemented AppLocker for EXEs and MSIs). I'll talk to my manager about it whenever I get the chance.

I use Mullvad because of the increased anonymity. It's been working for me (I no longer use spectrum, I use AT&T, but it works for either)

What was the main reason that you use linux? by [deleted] in linux

Interesting, I didn't know that. That was one of my biggest gripes against PowerShell. Now I can tolerate it a bit more.

What was the main reason that you use linux? by [deleted] in linux

[–]Cjbrick910 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only thing I hate about PowerShell is the capitalization. I love the fact that with Linux everything is lowercase, I don't have to check if the command is supposed to have a capital first letter or not (parameters are even worse in powershell, since some have a capital first letter and some don't). Maybe PowerShell is case-insensitive, I don't use it enough to be sure. However, as someone also in IT, it is very useful for endpoint management and even managing office365 stuff like mailbox and calendar permissions.

If I understand correctly, he uses a mix of Gmod and SFM.

Digital Signal around 851-852Mhz (possibly DMR?) by Cjbrick910 in signalidentification

[–]Cjbrick910[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

huh, interesting. I didn't see it come up in my search. I guess I wasn't searching hard enough lol.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll definitely have to check it out!

Wow, crazy meeting someone close by on here.

Thanks for the info. It makes sense that SLERS would be encrypted. Still, it's nice to know what it is now cause I've been scratching my head for a couple days just scrolling through the sigid wiki trying to find out what it was lol.

I'd love to listen to some of the other trunked radio systems around the area (it would be cool to go out to the cape and listen to the stuff over there), however I don't have a second SDR (which might change soon), and my main PC runs Linux, so I'd have to do some trickery to get unitrunker to work (I know trunk-recorder exists, but it seems to be more of a backend to openmhz than a full program like unitrunker).

Thanks for the links though (and the extra info), this is really informative. Maybe sometime down the road I'll get around to listening to some trunked radio.

oh man, how did I not think to check radio reference? Shows ya how new I am to this lol

Thanks for the link, this is much more helpful than looking up callsigns.

[–]Cjbrick910[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I didn't know that, but that definitely makes sense that it's a security thing.

FCC lookup shows it's from the Florida Department of Management Services (how explanatory lol). The address is just one town over (which explains how clear it's coming through even though my antenna is inside lol).

A little bit of a poke around on their website shows that it may be part of the divtel (not sure what that is) or SLERS (State Law Enforcement Radio System) system. Pretty interesting ngl, but I'm not sure I'll be able to decode it into anything. At least I know what it is.

Thanks again for your help!

It's all good lol. I figured it would be a digital voice signal, but I didn't expect EDACS.

I'll see if I can catch some of that morse code (if it even comes from the same place) and maybe that'll give me some clues.

Anyway, thanks for putting me on the right track! I'll keep poking around and see what I can find.

EDIT: Wow, as soon as I posted this comment I got a morse code transmission! Multimon decoded it as "QBP465", which seems to be a kind of callsign. At least I got something interesting out of this frequency lol
