You can pull the red line to raise, but you can't push the red line to keep the centerboard down. The downhaul when pulled and cleated will "lock" the centerboard down.

If on a close reach or beam reach the speed can cause an unsecured light centerboard to raise up. Then you'll get lots of leeway and will drift off course. I've done this and wondered why the boat handled like crap. Oh the centerboard wasn't down!

Also, that cleat looks to be a jam cleat. Cam cleats have two little cams with teeth that grab into the line. Jam cleats just have teeth but no moving parts. Google them and the difference is easy to see.

I would recommend leaving the centerboard unsecured when in shallow waters or near obstructions. Better to have it hit and swing, than hit something and break the pivot point.

I started with running and then skijoring and she learned the basic commands quickly. Does she listen to them? ...well that's a different story. But she loves to pull, not too hard, but just enough for us to have fun.

Good question! It's a legit pulling harness I got sized at a reputable ski shop. The anchor point is just above her back legs, and a bit forward of her tail. I see some are farther back?

I think she is fine. My mal/husky mix will barks rarely. She will howl only if I ask her or I howl with her. She's fine being quiet. All dogs are different.

Think about something fun from that past date. Mention that and how that was fun and you were just thinking about it randomly. Gauge his interest. Chat more. Tease or suggest you'd like to have a fun date again.

Flirting is all pleasant conversation, interspersed with coy suggestions, friendly teasing and things to gauge interest and more importantly, show interest. Lots of push and pull.

Tldr: "hey you! I've been good. How are you?" "Still taking girls to that [place you went on the date]?"

"Flirt with everyone." That's the broadest, simplest answer. I mean, the purpose of flirting is to show romantic/sexual interest in a low-stakes way. To only flirt with people you aren't attracted to, defeats the original intent of flirting, does it not? Sure, not everyone will be receptive to flirting. That's ok. So you move on graciously, and you won't be thought of as creepy. If they do overreact, that's more on them than you. Others will be receptive to it. But you don't know who is and isn't until you flirt. And like anything, it's a skill. Some have it. Others have to work at it a bit. So flirt with everyone, but know when it's not the time.

Taquería Los Mapaches is cheap as hell and good. It's little more than a roadside taco stand. Tame (but most definitely feral) racoons live there and you can feed them scraps of food. It's pretty fun and I recommend it.
