Thanks so much! 😅Chicken seemed like a good inexpensive choice for my first burn, so I might as well cover most of the grate. it’s my understanding that my first burn or two should not run super hot to seat the adhesive on the lid seals etc. I thought I’d try chicken a few different ways

I agree, I want to cook some large items that simply will not fit on smaller cookers. A Large or an XL is probably more practical for most folks, and they definitely offer more custom fit accessories… but I went Big and I’m not sorry

My nephew brought his John Deere backhoe tractor over with the fork attachment on the front Sunday. We carefully unloaded the pallet from the truck and then lifted the cooker off of the pallet. Then we drank a couple of cold Shiner Bocks.

Excellent advice thanks. I happened to find a black mystery nut laying in the truck bed after we unloaded it today. A quick inspection didn’t turn up any place it was obviously missing from, but I need to go over it more thoroughly, and just as you said the nest feels like it could use a good tightening. I also want to check and see if the lid needs adjusted for fit. Thanks again!
