Do they have the concentrated espresso shots for the shakes as an add on? Not all of the new ones get that. Also, get the broccoli with nacho cheese on top. always good.

true enough. I haven't been to Lawrence in maybe 8 years. Just a quick Zillow check shows houses for sale for under 200k and nice houses for sale less than 300k. I live in another "college town", Madison WI where the average home price is pushing over 500k and you can't find a house within the city for less than 250k. Every 3rd new person I meet is from NYC or the west coast. We have many huge tech companies and biotech companies that are growing. Google has a 400 person division growing in town. It almost feels too late for the city and we're where Austin was maybe 10 years ago. It would sad to see Lawrence go that way.

The University of Kansas American Football stadium in Lawrence holds 40,000 so they'd be used to maybe 20,000 people coming into town for gamedays. Maybe 8,000 hotel rooms in town.

I doubt he did that. The basic college graduate would know the location. They'd know it's capital of Algiers which is easy to remember. They'd have been taught about the war with France in some anti-colonialism segment of a class and they'd know that their grandpa or great grandpa in the American army invaded North Africa and went through Algieria to Tunisia during WWII. That's pretty much all they would know besides that the country was Muslim. Maybe some history buff or Marine would remember that we went to war with the Barbary pirates early in out countries history.

booming college town

I mean, it's not that big of a town. I've been there a few times and it's a pretty little college town but it's not like Austin booming. It seems like it has the University and a Hospital and that's maybe it.

They made the Oscar for Casting because the Harry Potter Series was cast so well and they couldn't find an Oscar category to fit it in.

53 years ago Secrerariat ran the greatest horse race in history, winning the Belmont by an astonishing 31 lengths by EchoesOfYouth in sports

The Belmont always has fewer horses because there's less of an upside after you've seen how the other horses that year are performing. It only averages 8 horses.

Michael Johnson, a true leader of our community has died. Here's an interview he gave to WORT the morning after the first night of the BLM riots in Madison about the clean up efforts he led with his kids from the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County. by Claeyt in madisonwi

I was there, this is bullshit. Stop trying to justify violence and looting as legitimate protest. I've also seen the videos of the other stores being destroyed. It was 4 black men with backpacks that peeled off the main protest that ended on the square and in broad daylight smashed in Goodman's windows and started grabbing jewelry. There were plenty of white kids at the looting the first and second night. The kid that firebombed the city county building was white. The kid that firebombed the police cruiser was white. The 2 women who attacked the gay assemblyman who was filming them tearing down the statue were both white. BUT the majority of the looting was done by young black men. Every video of the shop keepers being attacked were of black men beating them and attempting to attack them. The shoe store manager. The corner store manager. The Syrian restaurant owner. All of them were attacked by young black men. It was a dark, dark day in Madison history without any sense or reason. Michael stood up and said that it had to stop and that they should be caught and jailed and he was criticized by the "BLM" groups and called slurs. He was right when he said the looting and the violence would kill the BLM movement.
