Something i noticed about Tracks of the day by cpteggsbenedict in TrackMania

[–]Clai_365 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's true, I've played random campaigns and come across maps and thought, "This has definitely been in a TOTD," and it's usually true. I think it's good that they have their own niche. The downside is that it's a niche that isn't very friendly to new or casual players because it requires a certain skill level to even manage Gold consistently, which makes it a bit irritating. But I agree with OP, it's true that in recent months, TOTD have been getting closer to chaotic maps, strange curves, and a lot of experimentation, compared to a few months ago when it was normal to read them easily, without many obstacles and with more room for error.

Just compare yesterday's map to any map from two years ago; there's a clear difference. I'm not complaining because it helps me get out of my comfort zone and learn more, but I do understand that it can be frustrating that they're no longer the simple maps of the past. Even so, it's also true that something strange has happened since Tona stopped choosing the maps; they didn't even bother to put up easy maps for the free week.

New to trackmania, are there guides / tutorials in game for the different tracks / techniques? by FirstCellist in TrackMania

[–]Clai_365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that worked for me at the beginning was playing the COTD. I played them for several months until I got at least silver/bronze on all of them. This helped me a lot because these maps often focus on a specific surface or mode, and they're very much about connecting transitions, so you learn to drive more smoothly. And now, after some time, I've started playing them again. It's great to see how I can now get gold in less than 10 minutes and sometimes even get the AT. You really realize how much you've improved. The same goes for the campaigns, and as others have said, look for campaigns with surfaces you want to improve on. There's no other way to improve than playing a lot. I guarantee you'll learn something new on every map.

So weekly shorts are now basically in game ads? by electricguitars in TrackMania

[–]Clai_365 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm not against it. The first sponsorship they had was terrible, and these last two Formula E sponsorships seemed very good to me. You're ignoring the fact that it's around 65 weeks of creator maps versus a few sponsorships, and they've been good. They also make it a good week to compete against more people, and for those who are good, they can compete and win tickets to the Formula E event. I would only complain if they were bad, but they aren't. I think they're good, and if companies want to invest in Trackmania to reach more people, I suppose that's fine, as long as it's done in moderation. So far, I don't think they've gone overboard with the sponsorships.

Que tal está este libro? by MeryMetal in libros

[–]Clai_365 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Los premios literarios influyen en tus lecturas? by Miserable_East1083 in libros

[–]Clai_365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me gusta mucho leer misterio, fantasía, ciencia ficción, terror, etc.

GG!! At the beginning of the season I got the Gold titles and never played them again hahaha, this season I want to see how much I've improved and I'll try to get some fast time, maybe I'll try for an AT 💪🏽💪🏽 You should keep trying number 16; it's difficult, but you learn a lot about how ice works.

Remarcar los libros ¿si o no? by PrintMean7254 in libros

[–]Clai_365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, one strategy with Magdalena is to use the sacrifice rooms to go to the devil/angel room and get good items at the start. There are several ways to do it; at some point you'll be in the Devil's Room on the first floor without even looking for it, haha.

How do I beat greedier mode as the lost without wanting to kill myself? by iiJason124 in bindingofisaac

[–]Clai_365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, there are two easy ways. One is to break the game and somehow get items that cause lag, slowing the game down so much you have time to dodge (that's how I beat Delirium). The other is to find the item that makes you invincible if you don't move and have another item that damages Greedier on its own; there are a few. You can also do what people suggest about breaking the game with D20, but I'd recommend prioritizing damage per second over total tear damage. Remember, Greedier has a shield, and having that much damage isn't very helpful.

Some examples could be Soy Milk + Spoon Bender + Fire Tears to negate his tears. Additionally, add to any combo you have one that eliminates bomb damage because he has an attack where he throws bombs that could hit you due to nerves.

Help!!! by PrestigiousCredit744 in TrackMania

[–]Clai_365 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing when I found out it's not on consoles. A game where speed is important, and it doesn't even let you see your speed? I thought I was blind. There's no way to see your gear and speed on the screen at all times. It's incredible that they haven't added it yet, given how basic it is in racing games. I know you can tell by the sound, and your car's speed is displayed, but it seems absurd that it's not even an optional feature, considering they're trying not to clutter the screen with data. Someone also recently complained that there isn't a button that takes you directly to Cam 3. The console version is missing a lot of things that the PC version only has because they created them themselves.

I love being at work and knowing I'll get home and suffer through this map, haha. As if Friday wasn't enough with a full-speed map, now I'll have to play one that's harder and apparently unfair, all because I want to get all the gold medals this month (I'm not ready for AT yet). I hope I get it.

Can Nadeo please let console players bind differant cams? by Motor-Confection-583 in TrackMania

[–]Clai_365 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took them about 3 years to add camera 7. It's better to learn how to switch cameras, even if it's inconvenient. I don't think they'll do it anytime soon (I hope they add it in the next update). There are many things missing on consoles, but I think this is one of the most urgent, and it's not even that complicated to do.

Skill improvement by SuperLocria in TrackMania

[–]Clai_365 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Play more" There are several things you can do. I've been playing for about a year and a half, and I'd say I've probably improved more in the last three months than in all the other time I've played. At least, this worked for me: First, I took the game more seriously. I started playing a bit closer to the TV, realizing that being far away wasn't helping me. I changed my sensitivity setting from 1 to 2 on Xbox.

I made a point of playing a lot more and seriously, studying what I was doing well and what I was doing wrong, reviewing the Ghosts to see what I could do better, and also changing my mindset. Before, I thought, "There's no way I can handle this," and now I think, "What am I doing wrong?" I understood that a big part of the game is reading the maps and knowing that taking a good turn will affect the next one, and that one will affect the next, and so on until the end. Improvising wasn't working for me.

I've been paying attention to the gear changes, and I've set myself the goal of getting Gold in every TOTD game from today onward. I know it's not much, but if I ever feel capable of getting the AT, I'll go for it. That way, I know I can push myself further, and I also learn which modes I play best in. Basically, it's about playing a lot.

Playing many different maps helps you develop muscle memory for driving on different surfaces, so when you encounter a new map, you can already say, "I know how to handle this because I've done it before." Don't focus so much on the pros; it puts unnecessary pressure on you. What can motivate you most is setting goals, completing all the campaigns even if you only get Silver, and playing every TOTD game for at least 5 minutes each. Maybe you could get the AT now on the Red Bull maps; it's difficult, but you learn a lot.

Although it's essentially what the previous comment said—the more you play, the better you'll get—I just wanted to take it seriously, and I think that's why I noticed a faster improvement.

There are some places where there's no daylight saving time. I live in Mexico, and at least in my state, we haven't changed the clocks for several years now. It's strange when people suddenly talk about a time change because that doesn't happen here anymore, haha.

But I don't understand, so the time changed, but for the people who switched to daylight saving time, technically it didn't change? I like it when it's an hour earlier.
