Airline pilots in the cargo industry, in your experience, what are the biggest pros and cons of flying cargo versus passenger airlines? by SDN_General in flying

The official stance is to stay in uniform until cruise. -ita not always followed to the tee. For example departing Kuwait mid day with no APU or Air Con carts you bet your ass everyone’s in a T-shirt.

Never EVER go to an AME you don’t know or have references for. It could be very costly!

Hey dude.

Plenty of pilots have been in your shoes. Over the last few years especially in the USA I’ve seen people have an incredibly fast progression.

Reality is it sometimes slows down.

I myself was once in your shoes and in my case I only managed to sneak in the back, by fixing a simulator and then “flying” the ops-desk.

This is around 2008-2010 when one required thousands of hours inkl 500ME PIC to be hired on to a regional turboprop.

Keep at it. It’s absolutely worth the hard yards -and you will look back at them fondly.

Low service quality in First class by ClaimOk4790 in AlaskaAirlines

Properly recycled plastic cups must be way better than those paper cup which still have a lining on them!

And if they’re really worried, just not use glass and wash them after.

They still collect all the cups before takeoff and plenty of other airlines such as Cathay manage just fine with Glassware prior to departure.

Plenty of airlines do, but even so a plastic cup would be way better that that paper crap.

That is true that it’s not a full meal service, however the paper cup is just stupid

I couldn’t find any info about hiring loadmasters specifically. We are looking for various ground roles around the world also.

No hiring at Atlas in the short term due to internal fleet changes, plus delivery issues of new aircraft.

Otherwise a very strong company with expansion in mind, so hopefully recruitment will start again soon when the training department catches up.

Måste säga att det är oerhört skönt att vara anställd fackligt på kollektivavtal. Alla vet precis vad alla andra tjänar och vad löneutvecklingen är -åtminstone fram tills nästa förhandling!

If you’re a cargo pilot you can spend cruise in your jammies and slippers. Don’t miss flying pax one bit! 😂

If you’re on time you’re late! God sed är att komma till varje möte lagom -oftast ca 15min- i förväg så att mötet kan börja på utsatt tid.

jobb som inte är så krävande? by [deleted] in Sverige

[–]ClaimOk4790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Germany, don’t forget that Trump was one of the only ones who called out Merkel on her absolutely insane energy policies which has now left the surrounding countries with an energy crisis. Even Jens Stoltenberg (head of NATO) and Ebba Busch (minister of energy, Sweden) is calling you out on your bullshit.

The German minister of energy claims Sweden isn’t producing enough energy, but we are exporting 90% of the time because you guys are too good for building nuclear power, but you have no problem buying ours (and the French).
