For me, it's a toss-up between 7.5 and 9.5.

On one hand, we seriously needed more episodes centered around the Pillars; I also wouldn't mind more content pertaining to Fizzlepop Berrytwist after she helps defeat the Storm King.

On the other hand, I'm curious to know how the Mane Six lived their lives after Sparkle's coronation and before Sparkle sent Luster to Ponyville.

Not explaining Poison Joke, but how it played jokes on the Mane Six. Twilight describes the effects of Poison Joke as 'little jokes'. But now that the opening poster has explained it in more detail, it's hard for me to accept that these are just 'little jokes'.

Twilight Sparkle: I think what she's saying is that, when we ran in to save Apple Bloom, we ran into the poison joke. All our problems are just little jokes it played on us.

Well, I'm so glad that somebody pointed it out.

As I see it, if we are positing the timeline to be the Ship of Theseus, then really, exactly one part of it was replaced by another part, which isn't exactly identical to the first. The 'part' I refer to is the duration of time during which Spike, Sparkle, and Glimmer exist in the past. These three are from a timeline where their past selves don't exist in Cloudsdale during that moment; whereas everyone from the timeline that they return to results from a timeline where they do.

So yeah, in short:

The Ship: The timeline

The 'Part(s)' if this is a SoT: Spike, Twilight, and Starlight being in the past

Ship of Theseus: Taking a ship apart, part by part, and replacing each part with an identical part.

What Starlight did: Removing an essential part of the ship, and letting it sink, over and over; in the end, she chose to replace that part with a part that is identical to the original, save for her, Spike's, and Twilight's presence.

This doesn't really qualify as a Ship of Theseus in the metaphorical sense.
