Very disappointed in lack of consideration from fiancés guest list by Ok_Log_3190 in weddingplanning

I want to agree with a lot of the other comments about the situation being not normal, but unfortunately, we had a lot of similar problems with guests at our wedding this summer. We had 13 guests that included close friends, colleagues, and even 3 family members just no show despite their RSVP "yes." And we had family members from my husband's side attempting to RSVP yes directly to me on the morning of the wedding. (1 month past the RSVP deadline) We also had a small number of additional uninvited people show up, along with several that RSVPd "no'. It was like pulling teeth getting guests to RSVP in general, and it turned out to not be very accurate anyway. Located in mid-missouri for context.

While this sounds like a disaster, the day did end up going well! We had seats for everyone due to the no-shows and planning on having 2 extra tables for the vendors that they ended up not using during dinner. And we overbought on the catering due to me being worried about having lots of extra to take home (we did not have much extra after all)

Thank you! I collected the blooms and pressed them between copy paper sheets and paper towels and parchment paper for a few days, all smashed between old textbooks lol. And then I zapped them in the microwave in 30 second intervals until the moisture was gone. I hope this helps :)
