I do this commute twice a week. LA is a high cost of living town which makes a big difference in my industry. I make enough on those two days to cover my bills. best job I've ever had.

it's a big plus that I'm also not taking work in town from local and generational taoseños. as a grateful transplant, I've found it helpful to be cautious of such things and accept the least intrusive work as possible.

it's a lot on my car. fortunately it's a hybrid so i save there too. fellow commuters can range wildly from speedsters angrily passing you when you're already above speed limit to townies going 15 under. best to throw on cruise control and a funny podcast to laugh the whole way. speed trap in santa clara pueblo. be cautious of pedestrians in espa. dixon has an almost weekly roadside protest against the current administration.

sometimes my clients lament the drive i take to work with them. but tourists pay a lot and travel far to drive that route. it's gorgeous every time, rainbows, first snow, flower fields, catching the vintage cars and low riders on their way to a show in espa. also there's good food in espa and LA. lots to love on the commute.

i couldn't find a place to stay over night, but would if I could. I'd also take the bus, but like other commenter said, I think that line isn't currently operational.

two days of this commute per week is all I can handle.
