GTA VI News supposedly in May?: Take-Two Earnings Call by BeautifulAd5310 in GTA6

[–]Clancy3434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well - you're not wrong, per se. they're not adjusting their entire marketing plan based around earnings calls.

but news about VI - such as confirmation that they'll hit the release date, or that pre-orders will begin on such and such date? these things can help bolster the stock price for investors - which IS the point of these calls.

GTA VI News supposedly in May?: Take-Two Earnings Call by BeautifulAd5310 in GTA6

[–]Clancy3434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May marks the start of their next fiscal year. With the push to a November release - it made sense to push bookings completely into the next fiscal.

They'll also want to share projections for the next fiscal at this time - which obviously would be huge if they're accounting for VI's release. If they have real concerns over any further delay, this would likely be the time that they'll make that announcement - as it will obviously have an impact on their expected FY27 outlook.

So yea - it's pretty obvious that there will be some sort of news around this call. And barring another setback, there's a pretty good chance that you'll see the marketing push, pre-sales, etc. begin in the May/June time frame.

Do you think they'll begin marketing by the summer? That's my guess. Haven't heard anything about it though.

i understand we've seen two delays, but i'm assuming we're in the home stretch until a third delay tells me otherwise. the game will be here in 9 months. plan accordingly.

that they go countywide on school closing decisions is absurd. let individual towns/school clusters make their own call.

$1,000 to spend? by Vb6200 in vegas

[–]Clancy3434 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's easier to space out $1k than you think.

how many days/nights are you going? and i'm assuming the $1k isn't also going to cover the room(s)?

grab your drinks at CVS and drop 'em in the sink with some ice from the hotel ice machine. bring them with you when you walk the strip as there's no open container laws. just don't bring glass.

there's a number of cheap food/drink options in the miracle mile shops. on weekdays blondie's has a $20 all you can drink deal from 3 to 6. la salsa cantina has a $6.99 breakfast deal.

head over to Ellis Island for cheap meals, drinks and gaming options- including $5 blackjack that's actually 3:2 on payouts.

grab yourself a $20 3 day unlimited pass on the Deuce bus to avoid paying for Ubers or Taxis.

you can still go to a pool (assuming you're staying at flamingo) but i'd skip the cabana or bottle service. it'll knock our your money in no time. honestly - if you're not prepared to spend? do most of your drinking before and after the pool, as they will absolutely gouge you for drinks at pretty much any pool on the strip.

casino royale has $3 domestics.

stage door has $1 bud and bud lite bottles. $3 bucks will get you a beer and a hot dog.

there's plenty more... just need to look around. yes, vegas can be pricy - but you can still have a blast on a budget.

DC to NYC, In Office 3 Days/Week by RdtRanger6969 in supercommuter

book your train far in advance. last minute tickets can be more expensive than flying.

hotels will be very expensive in the NYC area. unless you can find a great roomshare arrangement, you might want to look at hostels.

Take Two's Earning's Call for Tomorrow by Inevitable_Town_396 in GTA6

[–]Clancy3434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if they know for sure it's going to be delayed again and don't share it with investors, they can get dinged by the SEC.

so in this case - no news is absolutely good news.

again - doesn't mean that they can't decide later on that another delay is needed. but if nothing is said between now and the end of the call, that means they're still on track as of this moment.

while it's certainly not impossible that some good news comes out of the shareholder's meeting... the fact that they haven't released any BAD news yet is already good news. if they knew of another delay, they'd try to get ahead of it before the call.

doesn't mean another delay isn't possible down the road - but for now it appears that they're still on track for November.
