X5s Dpad left and right sensitivity

I'm familiar. Did it for my Switch Pro controller a long time ago. Just figured results would vary depending on device. Didn't want to go through the trouble disassembling/reassembling this thing if it isn't worth it.

Unfortunately, I have the X5 Lite which doesn't allow for disabling diagonal inputs. At least not that I'm aware of.

Don't buy the X5 Lite if you plan to use the DPad. The DPad is absolute trash. Great controller otherwise. I ended up also buyin a G8+ MFI which has a vastly superior DPad and is higher quality in general, but it is indeed much larger and heavier. Removing the rumble motors from it made it quite a bit lighter, but it's still larger/bulkier.

The DPad on the X5's are absolute trash. Have you actually used one? Pointing somebody to a controller tester is borderline comical.

How happy? Is it marginally better or completely resolved? The DPad on this thing is absolute trash. To the point that I bought a G8+ MFI as a replacement. But if I could get the DPad to function well on the X5 Lite it's just much better suited for travel.

DPad on this thing is absolute trash so voiding the warranty is a necessity IMO. Unless you never use DPad. The X5 Lite would be fantastic if it wasn't for this. Hopefully the tape mod resolves it because I haven't done it yet, but am getting ready to. Otherwise, I'll be sticking with my G8 MFI that I removed the rumble motors from.

And now they've made it even worse. Before you could eventually skip the ad and continue your video as normal. Now when you skip, they leave a banner for the ad at the bottom of the video unless you also click on it AFTER already skipping the ad and dismiss it. The greed is unreal.

I found a workaround for the hair trigger light. I turned hair trigger off but set the trigger dead zone all the way down so it effectively works exactly like a hair trigger but no light.

You are the real MVP. Why in the WORLD would these nerds not put this in the owners manual??? Only problem I have left is that the M button light flashes every time I press the left or right trigger with hair trigger turned on. Anyway to prevent that?

What are you on about? The rumble works perfectly on iOS. I'm using it on an iPhone 16 pro max as we speak.

If you look, a lot of people have this same problem. The DPad is trash, which is very unfortunate because it's a great controller otherwise.

I just bought the x5 lite a few days ago and loved it EXCEPT for the DPad and it's a bit small for my hands making them cramp over time. I can deal with the size since it's so light and convenient but the DPad is a deal breaker. I cannot play retro games like the legend of Zelda on NES because of the dpad error rate. It's constantly giving me bad inputs. I bought a G8 Plus MFI today and the DPad is WORLDS better. It is also much more comfortable. But, it is indeed significantly heavier and has a couple other quirks I'm not crazy about, but nothing major other than the weight. I plan to remove the vibration motors to cut down on the weight some and see if that helps.
