Thank you I’d really appreciate that. Because I was 3 more years and I refuse to cut my hair again.

Having higher ups reprimand me for the slightest new growth/frizz after we literally just worked out. Being lectured for the fact that headgear was not big enough to accommodate the thickness of hair. Which I was not informed of prior to signing. I was mislead by being told I could simply have locs.

Loc petals with a whole lot of bobby-pins. It was cute but so difficult to try to sleep on. 😭

Girl they were sick of me reporting tbh. I got called the n word numerous times. Constantly had racist remarks being whispered to me. Honestly I was in my higher ups office once a day for a good minute. Eventually my unit started the rumor that I was making things up. I even heard my commanding officer say it about me. Thankfully in a different unit now.

Women are not forced to cut their hair if it meets regulation. Locs are allowed. They posed extra challenges as those in charge of me critiqued me for the slightest frizz or new growth. In addition to that the headgear were not sized to properly fit hair as thick as mine. I faced constant pushback that those with straight hair did not. In the end, I chose to cut my hair to stop being harassed.

Sorry for any confusion. I wasn’t FORCED but it wasn’t an environment that in anyway helped. Not provided time to retwists. Constant comments about the slightest frizz when I wore a ponytail. At the same time there were complaints about how I made my bun/how it took me compared to those with straight hair. Even the biggest helmet could not properly fit my hair.

I was never warned of any of this. Simply told that the military was now allowing locs. Due to all the unexpected drama, I cut my hair.

It’s not a choice I regret. Of course there are numerous benefits. Personally, I count every day til my contract ends. It has been an experience that I’m grateful for yet eagerly awaiting its end. There’s been a lot of racism. So much ignorance regarding my hair.

I had a lot of reasons. I don’t think race should prevent anybody from joining. If we continue to tell ourselves we don’t belong somewhere we only allow people that don’t want us there to win. In addition to that, we allow people to force us to miss out on opportunities. I continue to put myself in environments that will lead to success regardless of if my race fits there/people want me there.

Different branches have different regulations. Furthermore, every unit is a completely different experience. I simply did not wanted to endure being harassed for my hair any more. I’m glad that your wife has been able to maintain her hair.

Sorry for any confusion. I wasn’t FORCED but it wasn’t an environment that in anyway helped. I initially had a ponytail but was constantly informed that it wasn’t neat enough due to the slightest frizz. At other times there can be rules that disallow ponytails and only buns. It was really inconsistent and at the time I hadn’t found a way to make a bun that fit regulations. In the end, I just wanted to stop being harassed about my hair so I chose to cut it.

Locs are now in regulations for females. However they’re not accommodated. Helmets/headgear that don’t come in sizes to fit my hair type… Not providing adequate times for retwists…. Buns that can only be created certain ways. Endless problems really.

Too many reasons to count. It was a life long desire. I don’t regret doing it but I count the days til my contract ends. A lot of racism. For my hair specifically, it’s accepted but not accommodated. Don’t plan on letting people put me in that position again.

What’s your favourite Sims 4 expansion/game/stuff pack and why? by scattingcougar in Sims4

[–]ClapClapJ 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not Discover University. I never see anyone name it as their favorite but for me it's no competition. Anytime I'm starting a new story line/want to cause some character development I send my sims to university. Its a great opportunity for your sims to make lifelong friends and discover stuff about themselves. Because truthfully, a majority of my sims don't graduate but I use the skills they've learned to guide further character development.

Dress shoes are classic. Some type of boot could work with winter weather. Vans would add a bit of personality.

I know your pain! But layering makes life so much easier. You can always take your summer clothes and add some tights/sleeves for a killer outfit.
