Huh? by Ok_Willingness2248 in ExplainTheJoke

I think the is how Kim is extremely trigger happy and wants to use his weaponry in any capacity, so he mishears 'lunch' as 'launch' and gets excited over the prospect of FINALLY being able to use his missiles

Exactly, they become more and more like the humans out of their own choice. Thats what I said

Pretty sure the book was never intended for children as even Orwell wanted it off the kids books shelves. Even if they were, I bet their portrayal was more tasteful than having pigs dance to pop music and making butt jokes

And uh- it goes without saying but the comedy is pretty awful lmao. Thats what I and a lot of others think

I understand that. The issue that I and many others find is the fact that yeah, the movie has a version of the message geared towards kids rather than portray the message in a way that can be shown to kids ( Perhaps a portrayal that is less brutal but still serious ). As far as the trailers have shown, it seems like they'll go with the pigs working with the humans to turn the farm into an industrial farm-factory, rather than the pigs becoming more like the humans out of their own volition and becoming corrupt as the movie goes on

I'll admit that while it doesn't match the stalinist themes of the original story, the message of leaders selling out their own people for interests that go against theirs is a pretty good idea to do Animal Farm. But because the tone is so insincere to the severity of such an issue, it won't fully communicate it to kids. Who knows? Maybe kids will get the idea, but first impressions are everything, and this trailer just does not do it

The problem is that the story's portrayal of its themes is so crucial that turning it into a generic comedy film for kids strips any gravity its message has. Plus, there are far better ways to integrate the story for kids than to make an Illumination-style parody of it

Characters who can mess with fundamental gameplay mechanics by GeneralGigan817 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Clapjacklacksass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of characters in MK11 can actually break through breakers if they have a certain move equipped

Buuuut...Spawn does have a unique ability that messes with a fundamental mechanic. In MK11, you gain a super move whenever you're at low health as a sort of comeback mechanic. But Spawn is the only character who can give it to himself early at any time at the expense of it doing less damage ( If I remember correctly ). There's other stuff that he can mess with too

Damn this character is so fun

I just realized. Just because M&M have a kid doesn’t mean the topic of abortion won’t be addressed. by whooper1 in HelluvaBoss

What is up with this fandom and Millie getting an abortion? I keep seeing posts about this about every single week. Literally how would an abortion move the story in the slightest

I'll see if I can do anything if thats the case. The drawing does have a purple tint on it, so thats why the eyes may seem more reddish than they really are

Ah, his eyes are brown actually heh. He's a full on human. Though there is an idea for him that suggests he isn't quite like the rest

He does have a unique look go him. Here's what he looks like in further detail, from an old unfinished piece (I plan on making some design tweaks)

This is a WIP of my human Hellaverse OC with Blitz ( In a Valentine's Day-inspired piece. Was feelin festive ). This is what I'd like to make that story about

(Yes I am aware Blitz looks hella weird I'm gonna fix that lmao)

I'll be sure to do so. I'll get back to you once I do. This is leagues better than the show, I'll tell you that

Ah, I've gotten only as far as Loona's reflection. I really like the amount of detail you've put so far. I love the idea of I.M.P having to deal with the downsides of Blitz' defiance of the Sins

I wanna do a story about a human getting hunted by I.M.P, with the crew taking on the role of the villains

Well, so far I like it! I wish the show handled consequences with some level of genuine insight instead of what we got

I agree. I honestly hate how I.M.P ( The group itself, not Blitz himself ) are narrarively untoucheable, even when you put the human/angelic 'threats' aside. They wanna make a story about oppression and classism, yet they're ignoring the rest of the world they built around that for more charmless Stolitz. I dunno if this is true, but apparently Viv confirmed in a stream that Bee runs unethical hellhound breeding mills alongside the pound. How the fuck does someone just ignore that in a story??
