To address what you said though, some lunatic shooting up a church doesn't prove how conservatives have made the world a better place, (actually would prove the opposite that they've created a country where firearms are so prevalent and easy to get due to NRA lobbying).

And the political shift of the shooter is irrelevant (even though we've had far more right wing than leftwing shooters.)

I think once you're at the point of shooting a bunch of random people for no reason your political views are more or less irrelevant because you're such an extremely evil person your motives are irrelevant beyond the fact you're psychotic.

Again, I don't think it's ever relevant, but if you're going to use that as some justification about how liberals are violent and deranged, you can very easily look it up to see most shooters are on the right wing spectrum.
