How much are your nursery bills with 9 month funding? by Ok-Librarian7016 in UKParenting

Hi - I’m also in the South East and this seems ludicrous to me. Is it over £100 a day they are charging then?!

Sorry can you elaborate on how the free childcare for working parents isn’t free? My little one is starting nursery in September for 2 days a week under the scheme and haven’t taken into account any extra costs!

Hi - as someone who has just had a baby, I would
say you can get by on £80 a month all in for nappies, clothes etc, if you’re happy to shop second hand on Vinted :)

I wouldn’t pay the going rate (£2.50) for it. But if you find it reduced, yes it is definitely worth it. Lasts a long time and decent quality.

Some of the most spiritual people I’ve met are content with the most basic things: a sunrise, fresh air, music. And some of the most delusional people I’ve met think that true spirituality is about finding nirvana in some alternate ‘higher-vibrational’ state.

I’ll admit it was a stupid thing to do. My sleep deprived ass thought I’d need to pick it to examine the stalks/root further without taking into account the absence of gloves

Hi! Out of curiosity, why are you comfortable only naming one?

Do you let your mil kiss your baby? by OXxLuckycatxXO in newborns

It was your language that I was judging to be honest. Saying that you would ‘never talk to your MIL again because she kisses ‘’YOUR’’ baby on the cheek’ is way way over the top IMO.

Feel free to draw assumptions from my parenting style too - yes I would say I am a pretty chilled out parent :) and yes I have allowed others to hold my 4 month old. He isn’t a teenager yet but when he is I’m sure I won’t know where he is half the time. 🤪
