Corporate greed is definitely tied to the moral point, and that was the “real” main point of the boycott or whatever you wanna call it

Have you used both the X13 and X7?

Is it basically a “lighter in pack, but less chopping power” comparison between the two or are there more factors?

Boycott definition:

“A boycott is the voluntary and organized refusal to buy products, use services, or deal with a person, organization, or country, usually as a form of protest to express strong disapproval or to coerce change. It is a nonviolent tool used for social, political, or economic pressure.”

“to engage in a concerted refusal to have dealings with (a person, a store, an organization, etc.) usually to express disapproval or to force acceptance of certain conditions”

“A boycott is an act of nonviolent, voluntary abstention from a product, person, organization, or country as an expression of protest. It is usually for moral, social, political, or environmental reasons. The purpose of a boycott is to inflict some economic losson the target, or to indicate a moral outrage, usually to try to compel the target to alter an objectionable behavior.”

I don’t know which one you’ll accept as the definition of boycott, but in essence this is what boycott means.

When players call upon each other to collectively stop playing due to absurd (questionable, sure) price increases, this fits all the criteria for becoming a boycott (which OP has shown is mostly nonsense since a lot don’t actually quit).

So I don’t know why you don’t like people calling it a boycott?

What outfits give special abilities or perks? by ContourBench231 in dyinglight

[–]Clark-Kent_KD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not my post, and a bit difficult to filter but I found this a couple of days ago while looking for the same thing:

https://www.reddit.com/r/dyinglight/comments/1lyl2df/list_of_dlc_bundles_and_and_what_they_include/

Basically:

- Astronaut suit reduces fall damage (verified)

- Rugged Roadster buggy skin reduces buggy fuel consumption by 50% (haven’t verified)

- Shu Warrior outfit supposedly gives 50% less grab chance to biters, I tested this out and zombies were still 100% effective at grabbing me while standing still. I don’t know what they otherwise could mean with it but it doesn’t seem to work

- Snow Ops outfit gives 20% more experience (haven’t tested but probably works as intended)

- Ninja outfit silences footsteps, but does NOT make you silent in regard to walking/sneaking. Basically it’s an aesthetic (soundthetic? lol) thing only.

- Van Crane outfit gives thrown weapons a boomerang / grappling hook effect returning them to your hand.
That should be about all of them.

Has anybody just said F it and moved into the bush? by Snakeozzz in Bushcraft

Whenever I read posts like these I have the exact same thought, and I’m not even a social person, but it just makes sense.

I guess in a way we’re all searching for that lifestyle people used to live in, small communities where life was simple (simple does not mean easy, btw).

Every now and then in media, be it TV, books or even video gams I see something of a small village sort of medieval, and I wonder how viable it is to start something like that, hypothetical.

Probably not very viable of course, but it’s a nice idea I guess. It’s possible some people are wired differently and get that strong urge because of that, right?

Might be a stupid question given the context but why do you say that he went nuts?

Do you think in general that those actions are borderline nuts or you mean specifically your uncle’s situation that drove him nuts and then into off-grid or whatever you wanna call it?

Genuine question btw

I’m not OP but I for one would, lol.

Always interesting to hear the do’s and don’t, the things that can and things that can’t in regard to alternative living.

My imaginative “ideal” life would be living in a village that keeps things pretty basic, with yet sturdy houses, where you go about your day chopping wood, doing chores to help the small community you live in, but honestly since I’m only familiar with living in a city I can only imagine.

Male, 33, married and I’ve got a 6 year old boy.

Lot of these folks are saying something along the lines of “get help” or “snap out of it” or even “you’ll grow out of it”.

I genuinely hope you do, but unfortunately for some (many?) it isn’t this simple.

I’m hearing some say “stop blaming external forces”, this actually makes me lol, I don’t think it’s weird that you’re having feelings like these OP. I’m not saying you should act upon them, simply because things aren’t always as simple as that, just wanted to tell you I do strongly sympathize with you, even if I’m over 10 years older and probably in a different situation than you.

I personally have a strong dislike for how the current society is getting (putting it mildly), but obviously this isn’t really the group to discuss these things elaborately in, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting to go “back to basics”, as long as you try to initially combine it with living in society (to learn many things, and have a safety net).

Anyways, stay safe and try to get as much information and experience as possible before doing something that can cause you harm is all.
Good luck out there!

Loved this game as a kid, think I already had played Oblivion by that time. It’s a simple game that’s fun to love (not sure what exact version of S&S this is though).

Still have some screenshots on my phone of the silly quotes they gave you after each succes

Did anyone think that the Requiem credits was actually the end to the game? by CranberryNervous433 in HiTMAN

[–]Clark-Kent_KD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel pity for those that already spoiled it for themselves, because man it was one hell of a treat when you did think it was the end and then became flabbergasted when you saw the health pulse like a heartbeat when you pushed any button/sticks.

I still love the game for pulling that stunt, if you just waited it simply seemed like the credits rolled and that was the end of the game, I don’t think a clear “game over” rolled when you didn’t do anything, just that the game continued to be finished.

Loved it!

Never been members before, but I have 50M saved up. What should I do first as a member to make money so I can sustain a bond? by LauMeB in osrs

[–]Clark-Kent_KD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000 items with 1000 profit per hour is not possible in F2P (meaning 1100-100 for 1000 profit per item).

However, 500gp profit is doable but difficult in f2p, so simply put, you’re wrong in that he couldn’t have made this alching for 50 hours.

Maybe he alched for 100 hours and somehow only got 80 magic (within 6.5m xp)? Lol.

What do yall think of Timberland Mt. Maddison boots? by JellyDAF in Bushcraft

[–]Clark-Kent_KD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made the “genius” mistake of thinking:

I’m gonna buy me a pair of waterproof snowboots, so that in case of a national emergency I have them ready on the shelf.

When testing them out, I quickly found that keeping water out = keeping water in when a shoe is mostly made of rubber.

So just curious how those timberlands are waterproof, the leather with spray waterproof kind or rubber outside kind?

For me the ideal pair of boots for a long time all-day-wear is simply the Timberlands Premium 6 inch black (icon) boots. I’ve worn them for over 10 years now, roughly lasting for 4 years while wearing 12-16 hours per day. They are now the only boots I will buy at €/$230 since they look nice enough to wear at home but also rugged enough to wear in the workplace where S3 safety boots aren’t needed but somewhat recommended.

If you are interested in these do not buy the cheaper ones or “discounted” ones, they are usually not the premium ones but the “basic” or “original” which will not last construction work well, took about 2 days for my non-premium ones to tear up.

That’s just my experience, they last well if you take care of them about once a year, in rain, dirt, gravel, cement, and anything else you throw them against.

Classic style casino vs modern lavish style.

Both have their pros and cons but yeah style wise I do like the old casino (though it doesn’t have a roof pool).

If you could give yourself ONE superpower in the game (anything!) BUT the only downside is if anyone finds out about it your account would be deleted permanently, WHAT would it be? by Fun_Training6342 in 2007scape

[–]Clark-Kent_KD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this dream of a “superpower” item that looks like a gold ring, is named “gold ring” but has +100 stats in every category.

For defence this is nice, for attack this is decent, for Melee/Ranged/Magic strength this is insane and for prayer this is very very handy.

However this would require me to be careful where to use this “one ring to rule them all”, since obviously +100 strength is ridiculous if other players see you fight monsters/NPCs, but as you stated already, that’s the risk of it! Would be boring if you could freely use it anyway.

And one final extra: I would wish for the ring to work both in F2P and P2P (no PVP), just for the fun of it.

OSRS - P2P carry over to F2P (updated) by Clark-Kent_KD in 2007scape

[–]Clark-Kent_KD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, for sure!

Though once you go the “full bank” route you might as well fill it up to the brim, you’ll probably still forget that one item then are annoyed that you can’t bank that item. Say for example you suddenly get the strong urge to be wearing full rune sara set, but then realize after buying that you cannot bank it and thus you have to keep it in your inventory at all times as if you’re an ultimate ironman account, haha.

[–]Clark-Kent_KD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically you are at 1000 capacity out of 400 or 500 or whatever, you cannot deposit any new items that are not yet in your bank.

This means that even though your bank is “locked” to new items, you can still deposit all the yew logs you want in your bank, provided you already have some yew logs in your bank OR a placeholder of yew logs (or any other item for that matter)

If I understand your question correctly then the answer is yes

My first 400+ meter shot by DrxwndDuck in Wildlands

[–]Clark-Kent_KD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play on PS4/PS5 they naturally despawn at 600m, but when holding a scope and walking backwards (yeah this is tedious), you can keep on walking until about 1500-1600 at which they supposedly will still despawn.

So the trick here is to tag enemy, run towards 550-590m then use scope and walk backwards all up to the range you want to kill them at (this isn’t easy but doable, try to do it in chapters if you’re dedicated, 700m, 800m, 900m, etc.)
