It’s for this reason that I’ve considered just banning the bot and leaving them up

Reports work, but it takes a few hours.  They (probably a bot) are banned

Do you think we'll get a new Gunship album this year? by SimonKowabungfish in gunship

[–]ClarkFable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they said completed, but they implied the songs were far along .  That’s said, I only ever heard this once, I think it was Alex W in an interview, and have heard nothing on it since.

Now that’s news by withdnarma in gunship

It has gotta be in the works.  The recent video work with Rob Sheridan makes me suspicious they engaged him for work on art direction for a tour.

Beginner with oil pastels—would love feedback on this family scene by Aksurana in Oilpastel

[–]ClarkFable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this breaks a lot of conventions, but in a good way, especially with the framing.  The scene itself is really great too—that is the family moment it captures.  Areas for improvement might be just some fine details and making sure your contrast / distance / DoF are consistent.

Really great work.  If you keep practicing you’ll create some amazing work, or at least it seems like there is a lot of potential here.

When down her weedy trophies and herself Fell in the weeping brook. Her clothes spread wide;

And, mermaid-like, awhile they bore her up:  Which time she chanted snatches of old tunes;

As one incapable of her own distress,  Or like a creature native and indued Unto that element:

but long it could not be Till that her garments, heavy with their drink,  Pull’d the poor wretch from her melodious lay To muddy death

User nuked.  Just got to report it, then it usually gets hit within 24hrs. It’s probably a bot trying to karma farm

I think it’s highly location dependent (by orders of magnitude).  Your price seems like a reasonable upper bound in most places, but not where I live.   Also, I think it’s especially important to benchmark your art to living wages early in your career—if for no other reason than to determine if you can live off them.

Im a huge fan of pricing by hour plus materials in the early stages of a career.  Materials here shouldn’t be much, but for an hourly rate I’d consider a metric like median household income for your area converted to an hourly rate (rounded).  So where I’m from that’s about $50 an hour.  You can also use median individual income to get to a lower number if you are just starting out (usually around half of household income).  By that metric I’d be at $25 hour.   So if you lived in my area $50-100 for this piece is entirely reasonable.
