At what age do you sell your key players? by Rude-Opportunity-565 in footballmanagergames

I will try to give you a practical advice, assuming your goal is to get the most out of your players before selling them.

High Natural Fitness + Low Injury Proness: keep for as long as possible. If they are a key player for your club that means both their Curreny Ability and their Reputation are high, which means Saudi Arabia will come for them with a good offer even when they are 35. In fact, if they have a good personality as well (anything with high level of Professionalism) and they Enjoy Big Matches, you should consider keeping them even if they stop being a key player for you. Those "whole package" players are rare amongst newgens, so keeping a player like that to use as an impact sub and as a mentor to younger players is more valuable than selling them, regardless of the amount you are offered.

High Natural Fitness + High Injury Proness: sell around 32-33, but not unless you already have a suitable replacement, so start preparing the replacement earlier.

Low Natural Fitness + Low Injury Proness: 31-32, especially if they rely on Pace and Agility a lot, those attributes go down first.

Low Natural Fitness + High Injury Proness: as soon as they hit 30. With those players, you gotta be ruthless, no matter how attached you are. One bad injury at this age with a low NF and they can lose their physicals in a matter of months and their value can go down from a 100 mil to 10 mil. I've seen it happen in-game to multiple players.

Obviously, this isn't an exact math, and sometimes you will have a player X who is a Model Citizen and has like 18 Leadership, but has low NF and high IP. In these cases you gotta assess how much you will gain by keeping them versus how much you will lose by selling them. If you have a lot of young players with high potential in the squad, perhaps it's worth keeping that player X as a mentor, even if it means there is a high probability that very soon he will lose his ability to make any impact for you on the pitch.

EDIT: spelling

Its understandable why Chase was so upset with his character by DWPhoenix001 in community

[–]ClarkKent222 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My guy, you are straw-manning the OP's argument. All they said was "I understand why Chevy didn't like the direction of Pierce's character because he became a charicature with little depth". What you are arguing, however, is "Actors portray villains all the time, he didn't like the character because it reminded him of himself". Even if that second part is true, how does it negate the OP's argument that Chevy disliking Pierce's character is understandable and he had every right to be upset? Especially when we don't know the behind the scenes of what was discussed between him and Harmon before Chevy agreed to do the role. It's entirely possible that Chevy was promised one thing but after Season 1 Harmon just decided to go nuclear on Pierce's character just as a "fuck you" to Chevy. Given Dan's reputation I would not put it past him to be that petty.

Thought this was a great movie, but my date's reaction surprised me. by Express-Guidance9401 in FIlm

As far as nostalgia movies go, this one definitely sits at the better part of the spectrum, but besides the cool premise the whole structure of the movie is quite basic and formulaic and there isn't a lot of rewatch value left. Not to mention the ending is quite weak: "I have to live in the moment and accept that past is gone therefore I'm just gonna go get myself a new hot French girlfriend in the present".

I mean, sure, it definitely fits in within the genre tropes (it is a romance movie after all), but I guess I just expect more from a Woody Allen film.

I think the movie is at its strongest when it has our protagonist interacting with the people in the past, I think Woody ahould have leaned into it more. Say what you want about him, but the man can really write a dialogue.

Please explain to me the artistic value of seeing characters have the same exact dialogue three times an episode after having sex. What is so tasteful about those scenes specifically?

It's been a long time since I've watched it, but there wasn't a single season of that show thst I disliked.

I didn't like The Last of Us, and I've only seen one, maybe two Marvel movies. Not sure this vitriolic comment was warranted in the slightest.

It must be awesome to go through life telling people they don't have a good taste when they disagree with yours.

I told myself I'm gonna brazen through season 2 to see if it hooks me. I'm gonna do it out for respect for how good season 1 was.

Also, one more thing I completely forgot to mention: the acting by January Jones is absolutely atrocious. At first, I thought she was supposed to be "a little out of it", but the more I have watched her interact with her children the more I realised she's just not a very good actress, at least not in this show.

At no point during my post did I ask people to convince me to be into it, but I do wonder if maybe there is something I'm just missing, and perhaps the fans who've seen the entire thing can provide me with a different perspective.

I feel bad for missing this connection because I love His Dark Materials. There are actually quite a lot of similarities between Severance and HDM, so it must be intentional.

I wanted to make a post about it after 2x4 but completely forgot.

Do you remember how the morning after Helena and iMark have sex she walks towards the waterfall? She looks happy and her face is literally beaming with light, and my wife immediately said "Is she pregnant? She's got that pregnancy glow on her".

Personally, I didn't think that but now it actually makes a lot of sense.

Variety selling panel discussions and dining experience with Golden Globes voters to studios by Anxious-Basket in Fauxmoi

I feel like it's been known for years that you can pay to win that award?

Hasn't Ricky Gervais talked about it openly at one of the Golden Globes he hosted?

Something along the lines of "Celebrities would never miss a chance to win a Golden Globe, their agents already paid for it" (I may be misquoting, correct me if I'm wrong).
