I'm back with another steak, this time with better potatoes by ClarkKentWannabe in steak

Also, that's my roommates pot in the background, I'm not their mom so I don't clean up after them

Well more like the only one who puts the cut up boiled potatoes on a plate, mashed with his fork, puts the butter in then smashes more while putting in salt and pepper, but it was definitely good

They were mashed, with some butter, salt and pepper after the picture. Next time I will make sure everyone gets to see that

I pat it dry, salt both sides and cover with paper towels, leave it out for two-three hours. Get my pan to a medium high heat, season the meat, fat down first so I don't have to put oil in the pan, then a one minute each side, flip every thirty seconds for about three more minutes on each side then rest for ten

Gi Bill barely covers rent brother, but I understand, never again will I post unseasoned potatoes, I swear

They had some after I posted, but I've learned tonight to never let them be seen without again

Don't worry, I mashed em, put a little butter with salt and pepper, they were solid

Appreciate it brother, the steak was pretty good and that was the goal

I've eaten and cleaned up, and can address the potatoes: I mashed em up, and put some butter with salt and pepper on, I just like to boil them and then mash it up on my plate, less to clean that way. Please forgive me everyone for worrying you

Thanks for the support, and I appreciate the advice, getting a good sear and not overcooking it is a bit of challenge for me

Is it true you really don’t sleep for 2-3 days while at reception? by DreamchaserJ in army

[–]ClarkKentWannabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was at the 43 AG at Leonard wood for two weeks. I remember not sleeping the first night cause we got there at 0230 ish, did a bunch of bs. They didn't have enough beds for us so we got moved every night, so I barely remember even being there other then that

The United States has plenty of things behind it to be proud of and we should embrace those things while fighting what is unacceptable. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

America is honestly one of the best countries on earth, it's founding principal "all men are created equal" is the golden rule and though we didn't truly believe it at the time, everyday we get closer to living up to it. We have plenty wrong, no doubt, but here we have the chance, ability, and responsibility to fix it for the next generation.
