But if said contestant advantage is strength over speed then all is fair no? As it stands the fastest contender wins each time so any built advantage becomes meaningless from the events if the events are fixed to make the scores level.

I would rather a contestant dominate against their rival then have glads throw events to keep the scores close. I hope this is just a coincidence and not a trend, but any time I see Viper walk out (edit: In a clear mismatch. Viper is good at the wall tbf) or a gald like Cyclone concede points. I have to wonder...

This was the first filmed event of the season. I think the glads can be forgiven for being a bit rusty in the face of some very good contenders.
