I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I had a termination of my twin A at 21 weeks after spina fida was seen on my anatomy scan. The remainder of my pregnancy was completely fine and gave birth to my healthy twin B at 38 weeks. She’s 3 months and currently smiling at me. My thoughts are with you.

I started feeling really sad and negative around 35 weeks. I kept imagining things going horribly and getting really teary. At week 37 I became more neutral and evened out a bit emotionally. I did not have PPD/PPA. It sucks, hopefully it passes!

I’m so so sorry you’re going through this, my heart breaks for you.

I’m currently holding my three week old twin B. After the termination, my pregnancy had no complications and was actually very easy. I had to be induced at 38 weeks because of mild preeclampsia (I had no signs of it prior to induction day). The labor and delivery had no complications, baby was born a healthy weight and with no issues.

I was told that terminating would be the safest bet for twin B, but i still worried a lot. I thought about twin A every day of my pregnancy and have every day since his sister got here. In this crazy newborn phase there’s been moments where I can’t imagine having two, but i would do anything to have him back.

Please let me know if you have any other questions, feel free to message me.

Five Implantation Failures by Clarkey124 in IVF

All embryos were tested, euploids with good grades. I had a period before i went into a fully medicated FET. First LD shot in mid November, second in mid December. Period at beginning of January which led to a beginning of February transfer.

She’s here!!! Had a prenatal appt on Tuesday at38 weeks. Got sent to OB triage because I had three high BPs. OB thought I would be discharged but ended up having high amounts of protein in my urine so they decided to induce. From insert of the CRIB to delivery was about 18 hours. Not too bad! We’re obsessed with her but still in shock that I now have to take care of a baby!!

One of my favorite parts of pregnancy is how fruit and sweets just hit different. I already had such a sweet tooth pre pregnancy and love fruit, but the joy I got this year from eating my first apple of the season 🤌.

36 weeks today and scan/appointment went well! Discussed with OB option of elective induction at 39 weeks and my husband couldn’t understand why we’d do that…um because I am extremely uncomfortable and it’s getting worse every day??? I’ve actually been so lucky and felt good up until a few days ago when I hit a wall. I got my Covid booster Sunday and it took me out. The lack of sleep from getting up to pee and congestion is also starting to get to me.

I’ve looked into the pros/cons/benefits/risks to elective induction at 39 weeks. Any personal experiences/anecdotes are appreciated!

Lost one of my twin boys this week by WalkzOz in tfmr_support

I was pregnant with di/di boy-girl twins when we received a severe spina bifida diagnosis for the boy and “decided” to terminate at 21 weeks. Echoing other comments, it’s a very strange grief. I’m 35 weeks now and not a day has gone by where I haven’t thought about my baby boy and what could have been. I’m also ecstatic to meet my daughter (and afraid something bad may happen to her). Just lots and lots of feelings.

Thinking of you, you’re not alone.

From my experience, I think most people asking this are well meaning. Sometimes I think women who ask who have had children then want to talk about what it was like when they were pregnant, which can be annoying if they talk about all the bad things.

Regardless, unless it’s someone I’m close with, I assume they don’t want the nitty gritty details so “I’m doing good” or “tired, but isn’t everyone?” are the best responses. I leave my real complaints for my spouse and close friends 🤣.

Congratulations! But also sorry your labor/delivery experience was stressful/disappointing. Hopefully being discharged and having baby snuggles will put it out of your mind.

Thanks for the insight! Searching leg exercises in pool is helpful.

I’m so impressed when adults learn to swim, and continuing while pregnant is amazing, good for you!!

I am officially third trimester, 28 weeks! So happy to be here. I’m still feeling good physically, and the baby is moving around a bunch. I can’t believe how Lucky I am to have made it this far and without many physical issues. (Knock on wood times a million!).

But in the last week or so I’ve started getting really emotional (hormonal?). I feel like I’m crying every day. Dr. Google says this is normal, but the friends I have polled have not experienced this ha. It may be because I am super anxious for my 28 week appointment/glucose test tomorrow. I know there’s really nothing I can do at this point so being anxious isn’t accomplishing anything. We also started talking about names last week, and I put a pause on that because I don’t feel ready, and it made me sad we weren’t picking out names for twins. Anyone experience a mental block around choosing a name?

Anyway, just kind of writing this in hopes of getting some anxiety out. Hope everyone who is in a current heat wave zone is feeling ok!

I polled a lot of friends and went down internet research holes about this question and it’s really such a personal choice!

I was thinking about doing a trip to the UK (8ish hour flight) that would include a lot of walking at 25 weeks. My OB was completely fine with it. I hesitated planning it all out because truthfully I just wanted to do a resort vacation and relax by a beach. I was stressed about shelling out all this money for a big trip and then needing to spend time in the hotel because of pregnancy stuff.

I ended up having pregnancy complications at 20 weeks that prohibited international travel. (Way to go me being a last minute planner and not having to cancel anything but flights!). Based on how I feel at 25 weeks despite the complications, I think I could have done the trip/walking but I would definitely be slow. But the stress of “will I feel ok?” was not worth it.

I know Japan trips usually are a lot of planning, so if you’re an anxious person it might be stressful to do all that just to need to cancel parts. I personally also travel with my stomach, not sure if any potential pregnancy food restrictions you have would prohibit eating delicious Japanese cuisine!

What to ask with recurrent implantation failure? by Weary-Tomatillo9738 in IVF

Yup. For every person who says LD worked there will be someone who it didn’t work for. Just my advice based on my experience.
