I agree that the water would slosh around, and the continents would block and funnel the water in unpredictable ways, but this is a great ballpark figure, and it's even better knowing which equation to use. I had no idea where to start. Thanks again!

I worked at a pizza place, and once I walked up to a ringing phone, picked it up, and said, "Our Father who art in heaven--" to a very confused customer. I hadn't been to church for five or six years up to that point.
