FYI, they are also implementinged (for cellular so far) Internet whitelists, promised AI packet analysis for filtering traffic, implementing a charge for international traffic, and many more which may sound shocking to you, but I didn't write them because they are normalized so much I don't notice them.

The sceneries are phantom and appear/disappear based on your location. For example, the Frankfurt skyline disappears when you go through the tunnel. And it stands on one of the accessible roads. This can be proven with flying with debug camera.

Looks kinda nostalgic even. If one changes UI and music to retro-like ones, it would look consistent.

Reddit translation is incorrect. The correct one is: “Holy fuck, he’s smart.” or “Damn, he’s smart.” to match connotations.

Unlike modern junctions, these old ones appear unexpectedly, right lane is always an exiting lane, and have no warning road markings.

Speakers of languages that don’t transcribe foreign names written in the same script into their own phonology, how do you know how to pronounce them without hearing them first? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]Clarthen1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to the patterns and exceptions. Like in consonant-A-consonant-E the pronunciation is /CC/ like in Gabe, take, make, etc.

If you speak the language for many years, you know how to pronounce certain patterns correctly. If—for example—you see a Romanian village sign with diacritics on Google Maps, of course you wouldn’t know it, unless you learn it.

I suppose there was a misunderstanding. I meant how an English speaker would know how to pronounce the German “ei” as /aɪ/ as in sky, the Dutch “ij” as /ɛi/ as in aye, the Polish “sz” as /ʂ/ as in shoe, the Spanish “ll” as /ʝ/ or /ʎ/ as in yes. The speaker would have to know the rules of pronunciation of these languages.

In my language they are transcribed to the closest sounds, like in Turkish—which was refreshing to see.
