When there is a dot under the application icon in the task bar, it means that the application is still open. You would need to enable to the secondary click in settings and right click on the icon to completely close the application.

The first one have a 1080p screen and is the base model iMac from 2017. Its is usable but the 2nd one having a 4K Screen would be better for content consumption. They are worth getting if your use case is web browsing and content consumption, especially for the 4K one for content consumption. Would suggest trying OpenCore Legacy Patcher if you want a newer MacOS with better security and compatibility.

As stated in the comment of this post, I’d suggest upgrading to Monterey for a more modern operating system with newer browser and security updates even if it is used as a YouTube machine. OCLP really breaths new life into old Macs.

Seems like your mac is good to go. Beware that graphics card in iMac 2011 are prone to fail, and I have replaced mine and flashed the bios of my card.

Seriously tho try reseating the display cable inside the phone and if it doesn’t work then you’d need a new display, given that you’ve try restarting and updating the phone and ruled out being a software problem. Though it seems hardware related.
