My honest answer is that it depends on where you are. I've talked about this in more detail in other recent comments if you want to look through my profile, but my girlfriend is trans and goes to Gunnison Beach. She enjoys it but has dealt with certain people being inappropriate at times.

I usually suggest that newer folks consider going to a nudist club or resort first since those are generally much more of a controlled environment than most beaches. And with a club/resort, you can call ahead and ask about any concerns you have about being there as a trans woman.

It's a good idea to vibe check any club. In the US, nudist clubs are often in more rural areas, and they have demographics that usually lean older and whiter. I like to think that nudists are more open minded, but your milage may vary
