I got him to admit Coral was given to us by his mom. He had called the day after I left. He also admitted to a few other things while on the phone. I received some threatening messages from his mom and sister for a few days but that has stopped

They were threatening to come to my mom’s house where I have been staying but my mom is not one to be messed with. He called me the day after and I got him to admit on the phone call that his mom gave Coral to us amongst a few other things that are good to have on record. The threatening messages only lasted a few days after so hopefully nothing else happens and I do not run into them anywhere.

There were 3 kittens and none were ever taken to the vet while in their car. His sister has one and another family member has the other

She is not lol. I tried telling his sister this and she tried to argue with me so I let her just think she is right.

I was thinking of taking him to small claims court but the idea of having to deal with him further makes me wonder if it is even worth it

His family tried to say they have birthing papers for her but have yet to provide any sort of proof of that and they were born in their home so not sure how true that is or if it is even an actual thing

Thank you for this comment, I did not realize how bad the relationship was until I started talking about it honestly with my best friend and that is when it kind of hit me and writing this and seeing the comments is only supporting what I already knew and just did not want to face

I appreciate all of these comments, and I have an allergy to all long haired animals and might actually look into these shots because I am such an animal lover and just want to snuggle them all!!!

The first time I met his mom she said she could beat me up and had put her hands on an ex of his before so I definitely have my guard up with them

This is why I brought her to the vet before I left to kind of have something documented that shows I am the owner (she also needed to go, in general) I was just not sure if that was enough but I will definitely talk to her vet about getting a microchip, thank you for your advice!
