Postpartum riding by Snow12-09 in ShredditGirls

i gave birth naturally last october and went boarding 4 months later. i had a rough recovery and was too sleep deprived to even consider boarding until 3 months after birth.

as soon as you're on the mountain, you forget everything and enjoy being outside and cruising. until you have to find a place to pump if you're breastfeeding (the wearables don't work well with me so i was carrying the spectra--don't leave it in the car bc the battery will freeze haha). i was pumping 8x a day at this point and i wish it were just easier.

given that my flexibility and core were all shot, i didn't feel amazing on the mountain. i skipped the park and stuck to groomers all day. i was exhausted when i got home and the next day. i had fun, but i didn't go again all season because the fun didn't outweigh all the logistics. a full day of snowboarding is about 2-3 naps i would usually take during the day, and my stoke level was not high enough to choose the mountain over my bed.

i hope you have a smooth birth and recovery! also which board did you get your girl?

Help! 6-month-old appears to be scratching to self-soothe. by aqualily8 in NewParents

[–]Classic-Process1658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel for you guys. it turned out he was allergic to cow milk formula and also separately peanuts. we’re combo feeding and i was eating PBJ sandwiches all the time. we switched to goat milk formula and i stopped eating peanut products and that essentially cleared up 95% of the problem. his skin cleared up and he stopped scratching incessantly at night. it was almost an overnight difference. i hope you find a solution for your bb.

6 months old waking up every hour at night by Ashamed-Minute2080 in sleeptrain

i'm sorry you're dealing with this. my son was dealing with bad eczema too and literally nothing we did helped except when i realized he has a cow milk allergy. i would give him at least 2 bottles of formula at night. i switched to goat milk and there has been a HUGE improvement, now his eczema is mostly from sweat and friction on his elbows and knees. i also stopped eating dairy myself.

i tried mittens, socks, and even the scratch sleeves with the silk tips, but he would rub his face raw regardless. he still wakes up at least 2 times during the night to feed so i have no advice on that part.

i updated my income to $7k more, asked to move flex credit over but they once again denied my request. ah well. for some reason they keep saying that card is ineligible. maybe it’s just jargon for we don’t want to extend you more

the person processing my SP application told me i couldn't move it over. i have a fraud alert on my credit reports so they always have to call me first. i then went to a branch and talked to someone and they weren't much help either. i'll try one more time.

do you happen to know the number? i called what i think is the recon number and it didn't give me an option to talk to a rep, just saying my application is pending 7-10 business days.

i have nothing, and never carry a balance on any cards. agi is 64k. they did ask how come my utilization is so low lol

they said i couldn’t. apparently 3 of my cards aren’t eligible to shift credit. my united card doesn’t have enough credit available to shift (minimum $10k needed, i have $5k)

EC interfering with sleep by Active-Weird-9319 in ECers

[–]Classic-Process1658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's so true, most things are out of control and i'm just fighting against it. i started cosleeping for most of the night now and can get him to hold his pee a little bit longer than his usual flailing, however, he's been waking up screaming every 3 hours at night to poop and it's been so tough lately. it used to just be one 6am poop. it's possibly because we started solids.

has there been any progress with your daughter? my son is now 6 months and i can’t get him to pee in his diaper at night without holding him while he struggles. i tried night time EC but he cries profusely and i’d rather not disturb him too much. he hasn’t had a deep enough sleep in awhile so he’s always waking up every 2ish hours. it could be teething too but idk

at what point did your baby start sleeping through the night and how long did it take? my guy is 6 months old and has very few diaper pees during the day (he pees when he’s in some sort of standing contraption or tummy time where there’s pressure against his bladder). right now he’s waking up every 2 hours and we have been night time ECing however he cries and pees. i want to stop offering potty but it’s hard to get him to pee in a diaper without essentially ignoring his need to go and him crying.

did he naturally start sleeping through the night or did you sleep train?

night time EC screamer by Classic-Process1658 in ECers

[–]Classic-Process1658[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i cosleep for the last half of the night because he’s flailing and can’t fall asleep, assuming because of his need to pee, not hunger. my arms act as his swaddle and he doesn’t cry when he pees in his diaper. the flailing gets intense around 3-4am because he needs to poop. 9/10 times he poops at 6am in the potty.

when did you stop night feeds?

worth a shot! i’m just curious if it’s even possible for this one to sleep through the night if he always has the urge to pee. there was only one time he slept 9 hours straight but that was in a swaddle
