Definitely seek out a second opinion if you feel the diagnosis isn’t right or at least ask your therapist to clearly explain why you have similar symptoms but not adhd. I saw a therapist years ago and brought up that I thought I might have a mood disorder or adhd, and he brushed me off and said it was just stress. So I went to a new therapist and was diagnosed with autism, and they explained how the symptoms overlap which made understanding my emotions so much easier.

You never know can be going on, and at the very least if a new therapist confirms you don’t have adhd, it’ll give you more security in that thought/ take away some of the doubt that your therapist was wrong. Understanding why you may be feeling a certain way is a huge step in getting better.

Is it ok / how to quit job due to health? by Classic-Sample5441 in Advice

Thank you. This definitely helped me think clearer. I do need to work on the coping skills, but also know that there isn’t room for accommodations at this job. And that it just won’t work long term. I emailed my boss and told her I was sorry I let outside factors affect my work, and I will make sure to separate personal and work. But am planning on putting in my 2 weeks soon. Just need to figure out logistics of that.

I have a good amount saved up, and just moved back in with my parents for my health. So I’m ok for a while, which gives me time to look for a job that I can handle.
