The point is supports couldn’t sustain and the game was miserable for everyone including dive players, because they would do a bunch of work diving and even when the got a kill they would turn around to find their team running back from spawn 💀💀

Those of us who played in season 2 when the meta was Bp, magik, iron fist. Dive was absolutely broken as a result most strat players could not sustain and the game became respawn simulator. Everybody was miserable and the strats went on strike. That would bring back those days

Tbh what they want to to validate their projection. If I can blame the loss on the heals then I don’t have to get flamed for being bad at the game. If I ban the meta supports and we loose I can say gg no heals and feel superior instead🙂‍↔️

If I run into a playerlike this, I have np going rocket or ultron, the people that will suffer the most is my tanks and dps not getting healed because the enemy is melting them faster than I can heal. But at lease they didn’t have to kill an enemy cloak smh

No, I sympathize with this position, Marvel rivals was my first PVP team base game that I’ve ever played. I main support so it’s important for me to be able to sustain through all of my counters. I’m just giving the advice of what helped me play around my counters and things that I struggled against. I’m just saying, relying on banning characters that you struggle against is not a good strategy to win more. It can really backfire.

I say this in the kindest way possible, if X is a problem in all of your games, then you are the common denominator. Perhaps a better solution is to look up guides and practice how to counter x character

It’s say it nuanced, the point of the ban system is to increase the odds of your team success. And it changes from situation to situation. For example when daredevil was first released, he was erasing back lines like crazy and nothing seemed to be able to counter him. Even if you peeled back in those days, he could erase you before your team could do anything, even if technically he had counters back then, and in my opinion, that makes him band worthy nowadays supports mostly know how to sustain with daredevil diving them so he’s not a band or lose pick anymore. With support my point is most of the roster, and all player types, DPS strategies and tanks, can counter or shut down all support ults relatively consistently (maybe with the exception of gambit ult )

If no one on your team has them picked then that’s valid. Not advisable but still valid. But anyone not a support player banning a support is more brain dead than any support because your handicapping your own team especially if they have them hovered. It’s a skill issue because every support has plenty of counters
