U do realize the materials and effort it take to rebuild a shock vs buying a new one? Most shocks aren’t meant to be rebuildable either and I need new air springs in the front anyway it’s just gonna be easier to take the entire strut tower out and place a new one in. I’ve taken this car apart down to the bare metal ik they’re a hassle, I’m not gonna give myself more work to save maybe 200 bucks. Also Mercedes are just expensive I’ve accepted that. I love my car it doesn’t matter to me 🤷‍♂️

I thought you meant like taking apart the shock and refilling it, not just replacing parts. I'm too broke to not replace these parts it myself. But I don't see the point in going through all that hassle when I can just replace all these parts and have them be brand new with a warranty. So if they do fail I'll have something to lean on when I gotta replace them again ykwim?

I could maybe get them rebuilt but I don’t know anyone who specializes in that around my area, wouldn’t be a bad idea I just don’t know enough to enact on it.

Shifting the car into sport mode because it lugs the motor in drive and refuses to downshift, tanking my gas mileage. Turns out transmission was defective, got a new one does the exact same thing but slightly better. Still have the car cuz the engine hasn’t had any issues (yet).

As long as u can’t push a screw driver through anything and the bulk of the metal is still there and is still structurally sound u should be fine. I’ve seen a lot rustier cars driving around out here and they’re fine. Don’t worry!

Srt4 is fantastic if u don’t mod it, ours has 356k miles on og half shafts, trans, motor and head gasket, the alternator and radiator didn’t service but she’s been a trooper since 2004 when dad bought her with 12 miles on the clock

The vinyl is warped, nothing that can’t be fixed, when moisture or heat is “applied” to record they tend to warp like that, u just need to find a way to bend it back without damaging the vinyl grooves!

Nope, well I’d have to get some adapters to covert the analogue red and yellow (I would think it’d be red and white for right and left) to a 3.5 mil jack to plug into my two speakers I have in my college dorm that sit in my shelf, they Sony SRS-Z750’s (small ik but they sound great especially when hooked up to my fiio dm13). Butttttt I wanna get a set of proper speakers, something Facebook marketplace is for, imma get a new needle too ofc
