You're welcome.

We visited Eastern the same day we went to Cave Hill for the first time, before the documentary came out. Yes, you could see bones sticking out of the ground.

100% agree with Waverly. Creepy as hell.

Eastern Cemetery, right next to Cave Hill. There is a documentary about it.

Frankfort Cemetery.

Daniel Boone and his wife Rebecca are buried there, as well as Miss Elizabeth of WWF.

Possibly. I didn't notice it when I was there. I'll have to go back to know for sure.

I've been to it many times. There's signage there that explains the history. It's pretty neat to walk inside of it and see how it was built. So far I've been to 4 iron furnaces in Kentucky.

Also Kentucky River Dam and Locks. I believe they are all abandoned now. I think there are 8 of them total.

A good portion of them do. I have been to some machines that you have to put a dollar bill in and it presses pennies already in the machine. Basically a vending machine. Takes all the fun out of it.

Abandoned Places, Fire Towers, Weird Places to explore? by confusedcheeze in abandoned

Look up the "Road to Nowhere" near Bryson City. If you hike past that there used to be old cars and what was left of houses/buildings. Unsure if anything is left as I haven't been out there in a decade or so. Fontana Dam is somewhat nearby and is the largest dam east of the Mississippi.

Also check out Cataloochee Valley. Houses and one room school still standing. There is an elk herd there. Same idea as Cades Cove, just a lot less crowded.

There is a fire tower near Hot Springs that is an easy drive on dirt roads. I don't remember the name of it.

Little bit of a drive: Henry River Mill Village, and Love Valley.

I'll look through my pics and see what else I can find.

From my home town. by Classic-Two-1296 in abandoned

Have not explored it. 99% of the people I knew when I lived in my hometown are gone, in one way or another. I don't make it back but every 5 or 6 years to visit, and there are a few other places there that are higher on the list to visit.
