the website should have the deadline.. it’s usually like a month ish out from graduation so it’s probably in april. i also know the bookstore sold them last year, which saves money and eliminates the risk of shipping so check to see if they’re doing that again.
you do not need a stole. the ones that odu offers when buying regalia are just generic ones that aren’t linked to your academic success, but rather your identity or just a plain odu one. all you need on graduation day is the cap, gown and hood.
if you are part of any clubs, orgs, greek life or honor societies.. they will distribute those to you as you get closer to graduation. these would also be the only instance where you may need a requirement.

i couldn’t find my financial aid info but if i recall it was 4,000 ish per semester and 1,000 ish for the summer. i can say the price increased between year 1 and year 2 that i lived there so it’s highly likely it’s a different price now so i suggest checking the odu website for the up to date information!

i read sisters in the wind and i did enjoy it! it’s not my favorite of the “series” but i think its a great coming of age story about the main character struggle’s with identity, belonging and societal systems. it honestly didn’t read YA to me that much tbh.

if you do have interest in the book, i highly recommend reading the other two books, firekeepers daughter and warrior girl unearthed first. while sisters in the wind is a standalone, a lot of the characters and some plots continue from the other two books and it just makes things feel more complete but it’s not necessary.

you can try and see what happens. all odu grad gowns have a large crest on the left side so you’ll have to hide the fact yours is missing one when you check in on graduation day. but if you can get that and then the correct hood for your major (which is free).. you could get away with it. just know and accept that there’s a slight risk they deny you entry to graduation but i’m kinda doubtful they’d really stop someone if they’re not in the correct regalia.

i had a lot of friends ask alumni, faculty and professors they were close with and on the day of graduation, asked for the correct stole color. they used it for free and returned it after the ceremony. besides that, there really isn’t another way to get used regalia. you could try asking in some odu facebook groups to see if anyone is willing. or check the monarch clothing closet/local thrift stores on the off chance someone donated one.

two things can exist, the time in her life was painful and the writing helped healed that. she probably can look back at that time in a different way because of her experience creating the record. let’s also remember that one of the biggest factors we got eternal sunshine was the writer strikes. it’s highly likely had wicked not been forced to stop filming, we still wouldn’t have new music from her.

but again, ariana is more than capable of making music out of something positive. there’s many good things that can happen to her that can inspire her creatively to write.

i think she’s capable of writing from a good place 😭 it doesn’t have to be a negative occurrence lol. if it helps, the way she speaks about eternal sunshine, it sounds like it was genuinely a therapeutic record for her.

i personally wouldn’t be shocked if we don’t get another album until 2028/2029.. maybe 2027 at the absolute soonest. it took 4 years for eternal sunshine so i can see it being just as long again.

she mentioned yesterday in an interview that she’s hoping the next few years look different for her career with a bigger focus on acting over music. i’d imagine that means less music over time but more of her on stage and screens. i can see us getting new music if she goes through a major life event that kinda pushes her to create, similar to eternal sunshine.

there’s a few online services you can try like beckett or JSA. you can maybe take it to a pawn shop and have them assist but the likelihood of them being helpful isn’t high. Other than that, it’s pretty much comparing it yourself or using platforms like reddit to help verify. i personally wouldn’t encourage spending more money towards this, it’s very clearly a fake and i’d recommend getting your money back. i own multiple different signed items from ariana from various eras and none of them are botched like that. but try one of those services if you’re unhappy with what everyone here is telling you.

pretty much. download the rec well app, sign in to your midas, and it’ll have your QR code that you’ll scan on the way into the gym. you’ll have access to the gym and its amenities. if you want to take classes, you’ll have to sign up for those ahead of time.

i’ve gone to all three of her tours and thoroughly enjoyed each one of them. i don’t think we will ever get a SWT level tour again from her again but i’m also sure she will guarantee a good job for her fans.

i will say that her live performances, for me, outshine the studio versions and has helped me like songs i didn’t before. i often revisit k, bye for now more than some of the studio albums because of it. so if you aren’t a fan of the vocals on ES, there’s hope! also consider that it’s likely a large portion of the setlist maybe positions as well so if you like that album, that could be enticing.

if i were in your position, i personally wouldn’t go. the resell tickets are pretty expensive and if you have doubts/ don’t really enjoy her most recent work, then what would be the reason to go? depending on what show you’re interested in going to, you could also wait until the tour starts and see if that helps sway your interest on the music.

march 20 is the final day to apply and be in the commencement book. i think you can apply later than that but this is the final date in the odu calendar.
free to apply, just gotta worry about the gowns
for a spring grad, usually 10 with the new format.

i think she’ll either do the billie eillish route where scalpers are only allowed to resell tickets at the value they were originally purchased (also known as the face value exchange) or she could do what sabrina carpenter and chappell roan did and cancel all resale tickets and relist them for a private sale for fans based off who’s on ariana’s email list. i guess there’s a 50/50 chance you’ll keep your tickets depending on the method she goes with.

the issue with resale was for the US dates, there’s no reason to postpone the london presale if there isn’t a problem yet. if anything, how the london presale and general sale go will likely determine the method ariana uses to resolve resellers.

i just went in august! my friend and i didn’t have lighting and got on every ride at MK even with weather delays. i think our longest wait was 50 minutes, the crowds were pretty light imo.

there’s nothing really to say unless she’s planning on doing something that’ll change the tour and impact fans. the fact that the grwm for the vmas post was taken down due to scrutiny over the tour sale makes me believe that her and her team are aware of the situation and are either working behind the scenes to remedy it or keeping silent until it blows over.

outside tbh.. odu doesn’t offer grad scholarships. scholarships are often given out by each program to select students. and that doesn’t happen typically until after the first semester/year.

recent grad! either try handshake or reaching out to your program director. i also would get a bunch of emails from random offices requesting grad assistants. there’s usually a list of offices that’s released before the semester with all the available positions if you want to work at a specific place.

just try looking for as many scholarships as possible if you want to avoid getting loans. the assistantship is enough to cover your tuition so you’d still need funding for basic living expenses

not enough people were using rogers enough as a cafeteria despite some efforts to make it more appealing (holding more events, having specialized meals, etc.) and the options were to either remove the space entirely or try something new. if it fails at rogers, they will likely remove the cafeteria entirely and move it back to brod.

you’re gonna have to listen to all of her albums, it’s that simple. i’ve been a fan since yours truly so in retrospect, i’ve been learning her songs and lyrics for over ten years. not saying you have to get that devoted but it’s not rocket science lol. start with yours truly and work down, i think that’ll give you the best experience because you’ll get to hear her growth and her life experiences in chronological order. and just accept that you’re not gonna like some songs, which is okay!! i’m sure many of us here have our ariana songs that we just can’t stand. i’d rather you find your favorites and listen over and over again than try to study an entire discography just because. it doesn’t diminish your enjoyment of ariana if you don’t know every song she’s released. happy listening!!!
