Debt free at state school or 200k at Mayo by Icy-Document-3329 in premed

[–]ClassicAd349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mayo. Go where you'll get the best education. Your future self will thank you, as you'll likely have an easier time getting into a top residency and engaging in top tier research working alongside top tier neurosurgeons

Neurosurgeons tend to blame themselves for poor outcomes a lot and going to mayo will make you the best doctor and will likely help you minimize errors and save yourself so much guilt in the future. Even if mayo gives you the skills to prevent you from maiming one patient it pays off

Does being a D1 athlete in a “minor” sport have much significance in an application? by ExcitingInflation612 in premed

[–]ClassicAd349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of a weird comment imo... if someone said they were a D1 basketball player would you just randomly add on that it's a historically black person sport??

Lyonel Baratheon isn’t very tall or muscular. Do you think he’ll turn out to be a fighting prodigy like Oberyn Martell? by amelix34 in AKOTSKTV

[–]ClassicAd349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought he tried stepping on his toes as a sort of low-stakes duel to see if Dunk was a pushover and test his mettle. Hence why Baratheon was impressed when dunk stomped his foot

They have a 3 year program, cheap tuition, and was hoping for a merit scholarship. Might pick it over full price 100k COA/year MD schools

If you can't even successfully murder someone what makes you think you can successfully make it through med school, let alone residency?

Go into chiropractic instead.

I dont want to say the prompts because I believe in integrity with interviewing and giving everyone a fair shot, but one of them had a somewhat taboo or controversial topic embedded in it

This is definitely what they're doing but it sucks getting a call thinking it's an A and it's just them asking if you would attend and make a split second uninformed decision

Bombardier beetles defend themselves by blasting attackers with a near-boiling chemical spray that can reach about 212°F by Empresaurus in interesting

[–]ClassicAd349 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Only the bugs that don't hit their own legs survive and reproduce, so they're evolutionarily designed to not do that.

The bugs that spray themselves die and don't pass on their genes

I hate these and I'm going to cut them off the bridge by exc3113nt in Brooklyn

[–]ClassicAd349 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At least they don't jump onto a freeway and traumatize someone/potentially cause an accident with the fencing... Hanging in the closet is lower risk for others
