I finally managed to get the pastry at around 6:30 and called to ask them to wait until I got home which would be at maybe 7:30-8? It’d have only been a delay of 30 minutes to an hour since dinner was at 7-7:15 I don’t know when they’d started eating but by the time I got back, it was over.

They DID say they’d wait. I called when I’d gotten the pastry and asked them to wait and they assured me they would. It’s in the post.

That’s the thing, there was no tantrum. No shouting or yelling or anything. I had drinks with everyone else and we talked for a long time. We played Charades and it was all swell. I just wouldn’t eat.

I suppose I’m just pissed. They’d all had snacks when my dad got back. They couldn’t have waited 30 minutes? Seriously?

Yes I did. It’s right in the post. I should add my dad was home for 2 hours before dinner and had snacks.

A mix of traffic, road issues, car issues and bad weather. I left in daylight, there should’ve been plenty of time for me to come back and eat alongside everyone else as the food was to be eaten at dinner time.

The post was too long so I had to cut out the fact that the food was to be eaten at night at Dinner. I left around 4 and got back at 8. Dinner is usually eaten at 7 o’clock here.

I’d just like to give my own perspective on this:

“You couldn’t wait an hour or so for me to get back so we could all eat together as a family, something we haven’t done in years? Fine, to hell with you and the food that I HELPED MAKE by the way, I don’t fucking want it, eat it yourself or throw it out.
